Mavs by the numbers. Worst play-off performance by a team of all time???

    Eddie Jones 33,3% FG, 25,0% 3pt FG

    Devean George 30,4% FG, 10% 3pt FG

    Erick Dampier 43,8% FG, 40% FT, 4 RPG

    Josh Howard 29,2% FG, 10% 3pt FG

    Jerry Stackhouse 26,9% FG, 25% 3pt FG

    Jason Kidd 37% FG, 44,4% 3pt FG 62,5 FT%

    Antoine Wright had a turnover every 3.30 minutes he played, which probably translates into one turnover per touch. He grabbed one rebound, no points.

    Malik Allen played 18 minutes, but had all zeros on the scoreboard. No rebounds, no points, no blocks.

    Jason Terry 43,3% FG, 44,4 3pt FG%

    Brandon Bass 12 PPG, 6 RPG, 50% FG, 100% FT in 24 minutes.

    Dirk Nowitzki 27 PPG, 12 RPG, 4 APG, 1.5 BPG, 47% FG, 33,3% 3pt FG

    Basically on a 12-man roster, two guys shot above 43%. That is D-League standard. A center, who makes 43% of his lay-ups, dunks and putbacks.

    Speaking of ugly stats. Only 2 players on the Rockets are shooting a 3pt% above 20%. Only 4 players have actually made a 3.

    Applying the "McGrady defense" here, kinda hard to pin it on Dirk. His softness makes his entire team to the 10th man play sucky? He did what he's supposed to by the numbers. No one else was even being close to their usual production, or being productive period.

    But since its the Mavs, Dirk needs to stop being a flopping, softy b***h

    I sure do. That's why I picked the Hornets to be the favorite for the Western Conference next year. They are for real.

    It was because they partied for Josh Howard's birthday after the game 5 loss. I guess they parties a little too hard and never made it to game 6....hahaahah

    You can expect over the hill players like Stackhouse, Eddie Jones, George and Dampier to shoot that poorly but Josh Howard? This is the guy people are talking about to replace Dirk as the Mavs leader. Less than 30% FG% was just ridiculous for a all-star player to shoot in a 5 games!

    I just checked our Rockets' playoffs stats. Head was shooting less than 10% in the series!(One made field goal in 12 attempts) :eek:
