They need to laugh it up now, because their day is coming. That is why I want so bad for the Rockets to reload so we can blast the Mavettes. I want a thuggish PF to put Josh Howard in the stands and slap the smirk off of Terry's face.
I don't understand why we talk bad about the Mavs, they can talk, they can say whatever they want, they're better than the Rockets, they've embarrrassed us plenty, they basically own us until we start beating them.

I listened to the Mavs broadcast and heard no such thing. The Mavs broadcast team was almost apologetic to the Rockets the whole game for their injuries. Sounds made up to me.

Regardless of who said it, why is this such a bad thing? It is true. Right now we are not a legitimate NBA team. Our injured roster is better than our active roster. Our injured roster is a payoff team. I was at the Mavs game and was annoyed to no end at the "Rockets" fans in the audience. They boo'd the team, called out various players' names and told them they sucked, and one guy wouldn't shut up about Van Gundy...that he sucks and we need a real coach. Stupid people. Our roster sucks right now but they try hard and don't give up.
They will be sorry in the playoffs, like every year, they rack up a great regular season record only to be bounced in the playoffs....the NBA's version of the Colts??
I believe in karma or what goes around, comes around. I mean we have just had incredibly bad luck this season. So teams like the Mavericks should enjoy this while it lasts just like teams enjoyed that year the Spurs were down (*wink wink* tanking). Hopefully, just like the Spurs, we'll go on a roll for the next 6 plus seasons or so.
Can you even imagine Bill Worrell saying such a thing about another team? "Hey that team we just beat is a bunch of WOMEN! Ha ha ha ha ha." Yeah right. Even our hated rivals get respect whether they win or lose. If it's such a harmless comment, I'd love him to walk up to Juwon Howard or David Wesley and say, "You guys look like a WNBA team! Hey, it's true." He'd be beaten within an inch of his life. Yeah our team right now sucks but they're playing as hard as they can and they're not hanging their heads. They don't deserve to be kicked around by glib talking heads while they're down, even if they have lost 14 games at home.
I know you guys are looking for reason to hate the Mavs announcers but you have to understand that there is no way that Mark Followill or Bob Ortigal called the Rockets a WNBA team. It just didn't happen.

They were very respectful and actually stated that the 2 reasons that the Mavs won the game was because of all the Injuries the Rockets had and the Mavs were a pretty good team this year... There was nothing about no comment anywhere calling them the Houston Comments... So stop posting dumb s _ _ h.. This Thread needs to be locked...
Personally, I think we as Rockets fans should band together and send Mark Cuban hundreds of angry emails demanding the resignation of the Mavs announcers as well as mandatory 5 game suspensions for every Mav that happened to "giggle" during these hateful comments. Its just not right I tell you!!!!!!
regardless of how bad a team is, there is an amount of PROFESSIONALISM involved in being a play by play broadcaster. your job isn't to be the journalist or talkshow host talking poorly about another team, you are there to call the game and talk about YOUR team, not bash another. that's just unprofessional and classless. and apparantly in their distain for the rockets they forgot about their own history as a franchise that has yielded: -0 NBA Finals Appearances -0 NBA Titles -0 Pro Basketball Hall of Famers who spent a significant part of their career with the team -a franchise .459 win percentage -13 losing seasons in 24 total seasons -between 1991-2000, not a single winning season
