I'm in no way a Mavs fan. I hate the Mavs as much as the next Clutchfan member, but why do we want PHX to win? If PHX can catch Dallas to take over #1 spot in the West, that leaves us playing them if we can get through Utah or SA, whichever is #4 by the start of the playoffs. Ill take Mavs anyday over PHX.
Is there a more fun player to watch in the league than Steve Nash? I mean seriously, not even Magic could drop dimes in the same fashion/with the same type of flare as Nash does. Absolutely mesmerizing!
What an implosion by the suns. They need to learn how to get a rebound. SERIOUSLY. Dampier looks like Rodman out there. btw: did anyone else think Cuban calling for a technical on Nash. classless.
and that's how much more dominant they are compared to the rest of the league, including the league's second best team. Dallas will steamroll through the West...only the Spurs' savvy, discipline, and playoff experience can bring a stop to their train, but I am not very hopeful.
Seriously DoD, the guy is amazing! He has incredible footwork, unmatched court vision, and can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. Honestly, I would put up Nash's last three seasons (including this one) up against the greatest PGs of all time. Look, I know we're all biased to the past, that's just human nature (it's the whole 'good ol' days' mentality), but this guy has the flash and the substance like no other PG I have seen in some time. Even Stockton was very methodical with his game, and definitely a better defender, but he bored you to death watching him play. Really, since Magic we haven't seen anything like this. If nothing else, I am grateful to Nash for bringing back the 'pure PG' mantra to the league after years of suffering through the Marbury's and Francis' of the league, whom were the heralded 'standard' for PG play by the casual fan. Nash made passing cool again, and now we have the Chris Pauls and the Deron Williams and even the TJ Fords carrying that mantle for the league for the next decade or more.
I can agree that Nash is flashier than Stockton was, but I don't know if anything defines flash better than Magic did. For me it's not just the good ol' days syndrome. Is Nash the flashiest (but still solid) passer since Magic? Yes, I agree. He very well could be the best PG since Magic, although Stockton played d, and I may take him if I'm starting a team. But do I think Nash is a better or even flashier PG than Magic? No.
