I don't know what you guys are getting all worked up for. He was number on their list since being released on Friday.
He's 29-years-old and not going to play in Dallas. You mean to tell me he couldn't have a bit of a resurgence year if he signed in a favorable situation in Houston?
He probably made his decision before the Yao news. I wonder when the Rox really knew about Yao. Wondering if they had hints before the Jax and Green deals? I doubt it. I think they found out very recently. Ugh. Well, in some sense, it's going to be even more fun to root for the Rox, in that underdog way... they'll be a little like last year's warriors.
Mags is washed up and broken down. I don't see him making an impact anywhere. I have been wrong before, but I sure hope I'm not wrong this time. Seeing the Mavericks succeed is almost as bad as seeing the Rockets fail.
Someone should post Hollingers comments on Magloire from his chat today. Non-insiders were able to read it shortly after it was posted, but not anymore.
There are certain players that members of this board seem to vastly overrate (Mike Bibby comes to mind. He's not better than Rafer this year, or last year for that matter. Check the numbers), but when it comes to overrating someone based on fluky decent numbers in the past resulting from a combination of bad teams and convenient situations, no one compares to Jamaal Magloire. The freakin' Nets didn't want him! A team that used to start Jason Collins at center! Jamaal Magloire is the Jeriome Robertson of basketball. Houston fans, of all people, should be able to recognize that. "But he's 15 GAME WINNER Jeriome Robertson!" From Wiki:
Anyone that actually wanted Magloire hasn't seen him play the last 3 years. He's just God awful. There are better guys out there than him.
