Let's not get crazy (although I wouldn't frown upon it). I do think Kubiak is an amazing QB coach, so we shall see if this lefty can step up his game. If anyone can make Leinart in to a star, it is Kubiak.

I don't understand what you guys think Matt Leinart is.

This is like when the Rockets acquire Terrance Williams or Johnny Flynn and ya'll act like they'll suddenly not suck.

the system and how good the team surrounding a player affects a NFL QB way more than a sf or pg in the NBA.

Please name a couple former first round QBs who excelled after being traded or released from their original teams.

Trust me, we're not all delusional to THAT extreme, lol. I do think he'll be a serviceable QB though can help us win 3 games.

I don't know who Jonny Flynn is but comparing Terrance Williams to Matt Leinart tells me your brain has been damaged from one too many hits from your bong.

what about qbs that took more time to develop, like jake plummer or trent green?

when this team wins a playoff game, it will not be the first nor the last time that someone went from sucking somewhere else to being a good starting qb in the Nfl. I say Leinart throws 9 tds with 5 ints and the team goes 4-2.

look you can put in all this stipulations of "what about" but there is a first time for everything. We are not asking Matt to have a Brady type story. We don't need an elite or even top 10 qb to man a team with almost no holes, a team that excels at almost everything besides pass offense. We were already mediocre with Schaub this season ranked at 15 and still are 7-3. That proves that our passing game was not the reason for our record and our 4 game winning streak. So all Lienart needs to accomplish is handing the ball to Foster and Tate, dump it off to our TE's, RB's and Casey who are all very good at YAC and the throw it up for AJ on the bootleg play. He has the perfect system where a mediocre qb can shine. All he needs to be is medicore. That means few mistakes. That isn't thinking he is the next greatest undiscovered talent that just came out of no where. This qb has made a prior living of being great in great systems(USC).
