Matt Bullard has really impressed me with his improvement as a color commentator and I believe he is due for some gratitude. He's toned down on the forced cheesiness in an effort to find his voice and his natural & genuine cheesiness is shining through. He provides great insight specifically in regards to shooting and has a strong stance against the way the game is officiated and won't allow the veteran presence of Bill Worrell to sway him. For those that remember, prior to him being hired on for the Rockets broadcast, he was on a show in 2004 that was an open competition to be an ESPN analyst, ESPN Dream Job. He lost to Dee Brown. From then to now, his improvement has made the Rockets telecast relatively....adequate. MUCH THANKS BULL!
Every single game he has to mention these two things: "Dwight used to be left-handed until he broke his wrist" "Amphibious... ooops I mean ambidextrous! Hahahahaha!"
I agree. Bull is really good, insightful. The occasional quirkiness doesnt bother me because the other stuff he brings is good.
I like Bullard in general, though some times his anti-flopping rants don't make much sense. If a flop earns a foul call on the opponent from a ref, then expecting that same ref to instead punish the flopper makes no sense. Because the ref didn't see it as a flop in the first place.
hey bud let's party! i want budinger on this roster just so he can bring back that line or at least draft another bud.
Ive always liked his contribution as a homer for the Rockets...He may just take over for Bill Worrell if her retires..
