What is Othella's salary? If he wouldn't eat up much space, I'd love to have him back. That way him and KT could push one another to earn that starting spot at the 4.

That would be perfect Brahma. But do the Grizzlies really need a backup point. I forget who they have backing up Bibby now.

We should resign Tony, in my opinion. He could contribute here for 3 more years, and provide solid backup play at the C and PF position. Why let San Antonio or Vancouver benefit from his services?

No point in wasting capspace with a injury prone veteran PF.

    He is useless to us.

The trade for Othella sounds intersting, though.

Either trade him or let him walk away.

Why would Tmass agree to a sign and trade when he can just go and sign outright with the Grizz?

The implication is that the Rockets can make TMass a higher offer ...

Because the Rockets have his Sesame Street rights, and can sign and trade him for any amount they please.

It doesn't sound like the Rockets are interested in having him back, which is too bad because I'd think he'd help a lot. He is one of very few veterans on this team as well as one of very few guys who won't get pushed around in the paint. But I'll assume Rudy knows what he's doing.

Werent the Grizz dying to trade Othella just a few weeks back. They have Swift, Raheem and Continent as big guys. They could use Massenburg. Of course they just might decide to keep Othella, but becaused he dissed their city also he might be gone.

I think T-Mass could very well help the Rockets. It doesn't look like they're trying to resign him, but then again I don't know anything about what's going on inside the Rockets organization.

Word of advice: Tony, if you do go to another team, let someone else do your packing and moving. I wouldn't want you pulling a muscle.

At this stage of TMass's career, coming off a year that was spent almost entirely on the DL, I dount he could command any sort of "high-dollar" salary (as if 1 or 2 million is chump change). So, if Vancouver wants him, they could sign him outright with one of their exceptions, rather than this sign-and-trade nonsense.

BTW, the Grizz already have a backup point - Price (remember him?). Why would they want to trade for our scrub PG 2 years in a row? IMO Drew wouldn't do any better as a backup there than here. He needs a team that he could start for - and that is a pretty small list. The paper clips? Maybe the mavs?

Why do so many people want that waste of (cap) space back? The only difference between him and Devin Gray is that I actually saw Devin in a game. The guy did not exist for this team last year. What makes anyone think he would this year? I'd rather get Bill Curly back than pay that loser millions of dollars to play video games for another year. A quadrapelegic midget would have helped the team more than TMass.
