if mo is out for the entire seasn, we def will be very weak in th front court with melvin crato and an unexperienced collier with kenny the owl trying to hold up the fort. So why not sign anthony mason to a 1 year contract similar to wut we signed MO for last year? is this possible or is seeking a multi year deal? i think with the luxury tax, mason's options are very limited so he might as well sign with us since we probably can offer more money

Mason would be an excellent replacement.

I agree, Mason would be an awesome replacement. There are 2 problems, which may or may not be insurmountable. 1.)Mason is allegedly waiting the go ahead to sign with Milwaukee, and that deal seems VERY far along. But that is only rumor, maybe oeilpere or Doc or someone could clear that up and 2.)Where does that leave Mo when he comes back? Is Mason willing to take a 1 year deal? If he is, you get him here NOW!

Othella would also be great. Dont know when his contract is up but we really need someone to help KT and Othella would be a good fit. Rice would get more shots too since Othella dosen't need the ball as much as Taylor does.

I'd prefer a sign and trade for Dale Davis.

Our frontcourt is not ugly enough, but Davis/Cato up front that's just downright hideous.

Anthony Mason would be great, but he's a tiny bit short, i think about 6'8", but still adequate, and sometimes plays the 3. Thats the only negative, but i love his game, and he can act as a point forward cuz he has some nice handles as well. 1 year contract will do, he is a leader, an all-star, and has plenty experience for our young Rockets.

Losing Mo is a big blow.I hope that he will make a full recovery. If we do get the exception we should try to get Marc Jackson instead of Mason who will be bad for team chemistry.Jackson can score and rebound, although he is not as good as Taylor,he can take some pressure off from KT and Griffin.

I think it is funny that some people can't even spell the name of their "savior" For the last time it is Griffin and NOT Griffen.

I thought Mason had a history of creating team chemistry problems. We don't need someone like that here. Just let Griffin learn and improve.

If they happen to bring in Mason, he should be turned loose to create havok on the floor. He is not in the picture long term and I'm sure all of the other pieces would recognize that. Mason might be somewhat of a cure-all in the sense that the Rockets do not have an "enforcer" type. Mason definitely fits that mold.

Any ways...if we happen to make a deep run in the playoffs, I'm always down with a guy who has paisley designs buzzed into his heads with the words "In God's Hands" alongside.

Bringing this back up because I really think that Mason would do wonders for the Rockets. He was an all-star last year, and would provide the team with toughness. I hope the Rockets are working to bring him on board, because they would be playoff locks if that was the case.

I say that if we cant get Mason, Griffin deserves a shot to be the starter.

09/05-ROCKETS MAY PURSUE MEDICAL FOR TAYLOR- Houston Rockets forward Maurice Taylor likely blew out his Achilles' Tendon in a pick-up game this week. He was flown to Houston yesterday and is expected to have surgery to repair the damage. He is likely shelved for the season. The Rockets who are now extremely close to the salary cap with all of their moves, are pondering petitioning the league for a medical exception to secure cap relief to sign a replacement front court player, and word has it the Rockets are talking with Anthony Mason's agent late yesterday. Details and a direction for replacing him has not been determined. There are several players left on the market, namely Golden Stat's Marc Jackson. the Rockets may do Jackson's a favor and tender him an offer, simply to see if Golden State will match it.

this was found on bskball.com....if, some how, we do sign mason, i would hope it is for no more that 1 year. Maybe a sign and trade where Pat Riley gets the wizard is miami so that mason can get a fat one year contract is in the works. Wiz would work well in Miami's offense and Mason would be joining steve and cat in all-star festivities this year.

    Can anyone say 19 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eddie is not ready physically or mentally to be a starter in the NBA. I would rather see KT start and give Eddie good minutes off the bench.
