Mashburn said the Rockets have no chance to make the playoffs and Avery said they still have a chance.

I thought Mashburn was smart, I still kind of think he is since he did say Yao is the best center in the NBA, but I think he should think about that statement twice.

I think he said they have no chance of winning the championship without McGrady.

No, they were talking about the playoffs. It would make a whole lot more sense if they were talking about championships, but from what I heard it's about the playoffs.

Mashburn saying we dont have a chance laughing at us..Stuart Scott says we are 13-6 without him and Mashburn obviously didnt know..then he went on ranting how you need someone to knock down shots at the end of the game.

I believe he said we won't make the playoffs,or it will be very tough for us to.

How can they possibly make that statement...we lost Yao Ming and even made it to the playoffs, and in my opinion the West was better last year .

Having Von Wafer start over T-Mac so far this season has proven that we are a better team and more efficient on offense .

Since when the F has T-Mac knocked down shots at the end of games? Since 13 in 35?

Which is kind of weird, because earlier this season he mentioned Yao Ming is better than Howard for one reason because he was capable of closing out games and knocking down shots at the end of the games.

I'm guessing he just likes T-Mac a lot, since he did play against him during his time playing.

These guys probably rarely watch the Rockets. He basically made that statement based on past performances by the Rockets with McGrady out.

I doubt he has seen more then 1 Rockets game this season. If he had he would have een how much more fluid the offense is without McGrady, and not to mention the defense is a bit better.

Yes like how Tmac missed all those WIDE OPEN shots to beat sub .500 teams...and how Wafer hit that big shot to beat the Celts? How Battier almost won that game against the Lakeshow and how it took a amazing shot from Kobe to beat us.

Yeah we really need Mac to hit those BIG shots...

Mashburn is an idiot.. Too bad we couldn't trade t-mac though. I bet we just end up releasing him at some point now.. Anyways, I think we'll be much better off without him, and hopefully we'll be able to add someone by tomorrow.

Mashburn is a moron. We certainly have a playoff team... Whether we have a championship caliber team is what should be under debate.

yeah he obviously doesn't know better....the team now knows where they stand, consistency in the rotation, better spacing, more open shots, they may even get past the first round.

as long as the rox is not playing against lakers, the chances are that they are gonna get out of the first round and go even further

there is one condition: either t-mac comes back right now to blend into the team or he will never come back for the rest of this seazon

Last time Tmac took the game shot, it was freaking blocked. That was just sad.

I listened and when he said we had no chance I just took it as he was talking about at the Championship.

Well Avery said we had a shot [at playoffs]..something about Morey's team building..and briefly talked about the event with mcgrady not telling adelman anything, just adding that it was a difficult situation and unfortunate

That is funny, but not surprising.

Remember last year when we weren't supposed to make it either? We had a worse record and better health up to about the same point in the season.

How did we end up doing? Fourth best in the West? A couple games out of first?

Let them say what they want. I actually think we'll play better with some consistency finally.
