Considering my affection for Josh Smith's blocking and passing ability out of the 4 position and the Rocket's obvious need, I am only more than happy to start this thread for you. Get this guy some member status!
Josh Smith destroyed the Hawks' chances of winning in GM 2. He seems to be very inconsistent, being a defensive stud one game, while pulling a JR Smith on possessions, the next. His stats are very nice, sure, but I just don't know about his antics on court.
It's because YOUR NOT VERY SMART! Like CARL IS NOT VERY SMART! Pay the guy and give the guy some MEMBER STATUS!
The Grizz was stupid that year were they gave Darko 25 million, but then didn't have enough to offer Smith were the cheap owners couldn't match. He got 55 mill. Had they just add maybe 10 more mill, they would of had him.
On a serious note, Josh Smith is one of my favorite PFs. Wouldn't trade jack for him, given how much I like the upside of Hill and Scola, but if lost one of them, I'd want them.
Considering AK47 got a similar 6/80 mil for basically doing the same thing, I guess that's market value. That said, anyone who pays him that much is taking a HUGE risk. This could easily be a fluke year rather than a truly step up in his game.
when I said Josh Smith I was using him as an example because right now in the league only him and Gerald Wallace come close to those numbers. Also I should have elaborated some more. I meant to also add that this player would suppossedly average these numbers for two to three consecutive seasons not one. Let me hear your feedback. Overall though I think for numbers like that 14 mill per is a good market value for those stats. Also one more note that persons field goal percentage would be between 48 to 50% and 34 to 37% from 3 point territory
This guy strikes me as way more talented than he is a productive, winning player. I doubt he could ever be more than the third best player on a championship level team.
