as the total joke he is and always has been. He is a circus player who's never delivered in big games. 4 TOs in 12 mins? From the guy who was supposed to calm the team down and give it a steady hand. Those behind-the-back no-look passes are just cheap thrils that have no place in a big game that the Rockets must win.

What's killing the Rockets is turnovers (22-10 last night! ouch!) In that regard woudn't it be nice to have a backup guard who LEADS THE LEAGUE in assist/turnover, is a solid defender, shoots 40% from three-point, and 55% from two-point, dishes 8.1 assists/48 minutes and is all-in-all a nice guy?

Well, this guy was interested in joining the Rockets, except that our Cheap b*stard of an owner would not spend the measly 2M per season to get him. And that after he has the biggest marketing phenom in the world on his team and after he got a new taxpayer-subsidised arena! Instead we'll have to put up with a washed out hasbeen who's never been that good to start with...

Sorry, I forgot to mention it's Antonio Daniels. Also we could have had the guy who led the NBA in A/TO last year, Kevin Ollie.

He has had one great game and one bad one. It's going to take me a couple more games of this before I can come to a conclusion.

One thing that I don't like is that MJ is just like Cato, they both can't score. They are not an offensive threat (shotting wise).

When did Antonio Daniels average 8.1 assists per game? OR shoot 55% from 2pt land?

Mark Jackson is not the solution to the Rockets' problems. If he were, he wouldn't be making the veteran minimum.

if you watched the game, you would have noticed that most of his TOs came from his teammates clearing out and forcing him to shoot a jumper while he was trying to search for his teammates. the other was from mo taylor bumbling a good pass.

Since when does shooting the ball count as a TO?

A missed shot is not a Turn over. (technically speaking)

MJ forced too many passes, like his stupid behind the back pass that he threw right to the defender's stomach. He tried to get too fancy last night.

Antonio Daniels- 19.6 mpg, 7.9 ppg, 3.3 apg, 0.7 to

Kevin Ollie- 19.3 mpg, 5.2 ppg, 3.2 apg, 1.1 to

Mark Jackson- 16.6 mpg, 2.2 ppg, 4.2 apg, 1.0 to

Mark Jackson has more assists in fewer minutes. His scoring sucks, but that could be attributed to a lack of conditioning or other factors.

It hurts me that you make me feel compelled to defend the owner. He's alot of things, but cheap b*stard ain't one of them.

To date this season if the Rox, or any other team, offered to take AD or KO from Sonics or Cavs there would be a whole of YES being said.

MJax is supposed to be acting as a playing assistant to give the benefit of his years and style of play to the starting 1. Anything he contributes on the court is bonus, IMO.

    The point is:

Mark Jackson has given us a taste, just a whiff, of what it would be like to have a true pass-first point guard and distributor- someone who makes their teammates better just being on the floor. Even snail slow and 38 years old, he's delivered the message.

    Nuff said.

This Kayman guy his been flapping his lip about how he hates Mark Jackson since the rumor of his possible signing. Wait a minute man. Wait a minute. You kept your fat lips glued the pass four games which the Rockets all won and in which Mark Jackson played reasonably well. Where were you then you fat cuckacoo. But now you chirping away aint ya. well listen here tweetie bird, let yourself out of that cage and learn how to let go of some personal past dislike you have for a professional baskteball player...its much funner that way... and oh yeah, watch out for the p***y cat.

Even though he had a bad game last night, I am still MUCH happier with him at the helms wrather than Moochie...

MJ had a couple of boneheaded plays last night, but so did the rest of the team. (22to's)

Kinda like how Juugie comes out of the hole in the wall when Yao Ming has a bad game. The difference between Antonio Daniels and Charlie Ward to Mark Jackson, is Mark Jackson makes things happen. He sees things that Daniels and Ward does not. Trust me... What Mark Jackson brings to the table in regards to point guard skill and respect than Charlie Ward and Antonio Daniels combined.

Even so, give Jackson time to get back into gameshape.

um... those guys aren't that good either. i agreed with your thread title i thought he was exposed on defense, but c'mon he doesn't throw it away aimlessly like some of our players do, don't just look at the box score. some were tough passes, i mean the guy is trying to make plays.

I don't hate MJ. I hate Les Alexander for just raking in the dough and not spending what's needed to improve the team. MJ is fun to watch in meaningless games and is an upgrade over Moochie, but then again, everyone is upgrade over Moochie. I have just watched NBA for too long and seen many Knicks and Pacers guys gone insane from how lazy, slow and lackadaisical MJ is in crunchtime. Remember Larry Brown was having guys like Haywood Workman and Travis Best finish games for Indiana.

kayman you know I was just kidding with you man. ; )

And I can not believe you you remember Haywood Workman. : D
That dude was always one of my favorites. Him and Terry Porter were my all-time favorite back-ups.
