I never seen any point guard distributing ball on the floor better than Mark Jackson. I guess the search is over for a true point guard. Maybe it is still prematurely to say that but Mark JAckson really had that vision of a point guard. I'm sure you all gonna agree!!

Rockets will be one of the tough team to beat in the playoff! Young, talented with a lot of skilled player. Rockets is just simply playing consistently, despite the close lost from the Grizz.

Rockets on a roll with a win over Magic!

Mark Jackson, 10 ASSIST with 24 min.

MJ is awsome. But this is obviously a short term thing. I doubt he plays anymore than 2 seasons. But Im glad we got him, hopefully a little bit of MJ wil rub off onto the Franchise.

This is exactly the reason I wanted to get Mark Jackson...his leadership.

We have been led by 2 guys who are just not capable of leading yet.

How can you lead your team to victory if you don't know how to do it?

Mobley and Francis can learn a lot from watching MJ.

Also, we finally have a good mix of role playing veterans with varying skills.

This team can match up with anybody.

Oh, it's no surprise MJ is a great pg. Saw him with the Raptors and he was averaging 10assists with ease a game day in and day out.

Ah, the wonder a true point guard will do for a team. When was the last time Francis had 10 assists? More evidence that Steve is not the answer at point and should move over to the 2. The longterm success of the team depends on it.

For the last four and one half years I have posting that this team desperately needs A TRUE POINT GUARD! But no, the Franchise is all we need. Few would listen. I contended that the newer Rocket's fans had never seen what a TRUE POINT GUARD could do. I have been called names, told I didn't know anything about basketball, invited to follow another team. But now AT LAST some of you are beginning to see what I am talking about, and it is being done by guy coming out of RETIREMENT; 10 assists in 24 min of PT. Do you see what a difference a heady playmaker can bring to this team? Have you ever and I mean EVER seen Francis make the same kind of WELL TIMED passes? Well have you? Jackson is a coach on the floor; he sets up plays. Francis has NEVER done this well. IS THERE A YOUNG MARK JACKSON IN OUR FUTURE. If this team is going to contend, there had better be. :p

MJ is going to put a lot of questions into a lot of peoples heads. And all of them are on our team. Certainly VG and Francis are thinking. The only question is about what. And untimately, let's say Francis can't evolve into a true PG by the time MJ retires, who's the odd man out when we do go get a young point guard. Is it Francis or is it Cuttino. Let's just hope we never get to that question. Francis has got to learn from this experience. And it's not up to Jackson to teach him. It's up to Francis to practice what he's seeing.

Francis had 4 this season, it's not mission impossible 4 for him. But when was the last time he had 10 assists and 0 TO? I don't know.

Mark Jax has, in fact, been a breath of fresh air. He is also 38 years old and could break down at any time. I don't recall anyone calling him a pathetic loser, just old. He is that. Yet he is a contributor.

I'm glad he's upped for the rest of the season, and I hope he rubs off on the right teammate, er on all his teammates.

yep, dont get me wrong...cause i love francis but when he gets
10 assists it doesnt come often and its playing 40 minutes and turning the ball over 5 times.

mark had 10 assists in 24 minutes!...my favorite was the BEHIND THE BACK NO LOOK BOUNCE PASS to Mo Taylor for the slam!

    oh yeah...24 minutes!....

remember all you loudmouth naysayers slanging your tongue about how mark jackson could only play 15-20 minutes MAX!?

well how you like them 24 minutes and the guy isnt even back to 100% NBA shape yet.

oh and how about that laser beam across the court pass to mobley?! he threw it like a quarterback throws a football and just nailed him with it. that was AWWWWWWWSUGHHHHHHHHMMMMMM....EVERYONE else in the NBA would have made that a chest pass.

It would be nice to see Mark Jackson start as the PG and move SF to the 2. The offense would run smoother, IMO.

Those people, as far as I know, are mostly so-called homers. They claimed that they care about nothing as long as it's Houston Rockets. And now I hope they can get it!

We care about Rockets as much as they do, and we want them to win. And to win, the homers' baby steve and CAT need to learn how to play!

Homers, homers, what else can I say. Hopefully, I will not be labeled this time.

"Mark Jackson is a pathetic clown, who was one of the biggest losers in the NBA when he was in his prime, and now he is old and fat on top of that.

All this nonsense could have been avoided had the Cheap b*stard, aka Leslie Alexander, paid the money needed to bring in Antonio Daniels or Kevin Ollie. Those are legitimate NBA backups. Mark Jackson is a joke!"

Yeah there were some "cancer" rants in here when he was being looked at by the Rockets. How is he in the locker room these days?

a pleasant surprise indeed..... loved his passing this game.

he can't shoot worth ****, but hey he can still pass and run a offense which is always nice to see.

gives van gundy a definite player off the bench to take some of the load off from steve every game

loved the no look pass to taylor too for the slam :)

I can see why I forgot it. Forgetable, lamentable post. BTW - think Cavs would entertain an offer, any offer, for KO? And Daniels only has slighter more PT than MJax.
