When is he going to stop kissing the Lakers ass. He always tend to find excuses for the Lakers every time they lost a game...like they don's show up, don't have energy..ect.. blah blah blah. They DID show up...did you not ****ing see they really want to win?? They say the same shyt the last game when we blew them out..which is fine. This is the 2nd time that I am sure Lakers have learned to prepare. This Rockets team are a GOOD ****ING TEAM!! Give us some ****ing credit instead of making lame excuses. You think it's that easy just to put effort in and expect the Lakers to beat us?? It ain't that easy dumb ****!! Just because we don't have Yao, doesn't mean we're not a good team. In fact, even with Yao, he probably won't give us much scoring power anyway since they're going to front him and attack him in pick n roll. And the ball with go to Artest and Aaron Brooks or Scola anyway. So you can't say that without Yao, this Rockets team ain't that good. As far as i am concerned, Mark Jackson has lost all creditability when he said Lakers don't show up again and that he stopped picking them for the rest of the Playoffs..what an azz.
Also, JVG needs to have his Rocket homer card revoked. He whined about Kobe's technical foul and how it gave the Rockets an extra free throw yet I never heard him mention how the NBA had to go back and correct calls against Ron (that lead to him being ejected) as well as assess the Kobe flagrant in game 2 that the refs missed thus costing the Rockets two free throws they should have been awarded.
Actually he wasn't that bad tonight. He was worse during the 1st round though. And that tech on Kobe was really bad. As much as I dislike the guy, fair is fair.
LOL...ROFL...LMAO...Im still laughing at the title of this thread so hard that I can't even read what the OP said yet! I will have to come back and read it when I stop laughing.
it was a horrible call from any perspective ok? a commentator just dont defend artest in those kinds of situations doesnt matter who they are
Oh, and while we are on the "experts" let's not forget Jalen Rose at halftime. When asked if the Lakers can come back and win the game he says, with no hesitation "I hope so!" jerk.
JVG has been pretty consistent - he pretty much bashes flops and poor officiating. If you ask me Jackson and JVG are one of the few and maybe the only tandem that just flat out say refs blew calls ... repeatedly. I think he was bashing the reversing of calls, but saying that's not a solution or answer because you lose a point during the game because of the technical foul. In other words, yes, he was defending what happened to Artest and what happened to Kobe... God forbid - he was being impartial.
I didn't hear the part where he was critical of what happend to Artest. All I heard was him complaining about that particular call against Kobe. I thought the bad calls in the rest of the series warranted a mention since they were just as bad if not worse against the Rockets. Then again, I started my post calling him a Rocket homer so I expected that part to be taken tongue in cheek but the interwebs don't always convey what I mean.
I can't bare to sit through the ESPN halftime show to watch Jalen Rose sitting with the same ***** eating grin on his face that he had 13 years ago after he undercut Mario. BTW, the "you can't let Denver rest anymore if you're L.A" as if L.A advancing is a foregone conclusion was incredibly annoying today.
I concur. I think Mark Jackson completely hates us. or he loves the lakers.. anyway.. who gives a ****.. we won baby!
I disagree. I find the fact that all these ignorant talking head consider LA's victory to be a foregone conclusion to be actually quite entertaining. It's fun to watch them make up excuses when they're WRONG.
When Jackson is on, we get JVG too right? They are like a package deal. As long as JVG is on in-game commentating won't be an issue. For every JVG, we need a clown sitting right beside him.
JVG has complained about calls that went against both teams. He didn't agree with either of Ron's ejections, or the technicals given to the Lakers. Basically, he just wants the refs to let them play. I think he's pretty neutral about it. At the end of the game, though, he had a big smile on his face. I can tell he was happy for our guys.
Come on now. Out of all the announcers, he's the only one saying we had a chance. And he gave us a chance in Game 7. Thank God it won't be Collins on Sunday whom I just cannot stand any more. He just keeps rambling and rambling about how great Kobe is...
