I know this isn't really a big scoop, but Mark Cuban was just on Carson Daly's new late night show and when Daly asked him about Ming he started chanting "Overrr-rated!!" and talking about how he had alligator arms and the guy they made him work out against in Chicago was a chump...

Just thought I'd pass this little tidbit on..

What's funny is that if Dallas had the #1 pick, Cuban would probably be jizzing over him.

Talk about overrated? What the hell were his Mavs...

cuban don't know how to speculate on potential or talent if it smacked him in his face. he only goes by what's given (van exel, raef, etc). ask don nelson and you probly would have a different answer. he's the one that had the gonads to draft dirk diggler. cuban should just pay his players, attend games, and be quiet.

Didn't Cuban resign Bradley and trade for Lafrentz who couldn't even hold Divac?

Funny, because it sounds like Cuban and Krause have been talking about the #1 for Finley and LaFrentz. Krause probably initiated the discussion, but if not, Cuban's lying like a mofo if he's interested in trading for the #1. Can't tell me they want Jason Williams

Brent, many people on the BBS don't appreciate the derogatory term "homo." If you want to cut Cuban down to size, I'd appreciate it if you didn't mix in sexual orientation. But everything's cool.

Cuban is a little like I'm fearing Francis is. He can't stand not being the center of attention. If Ming is as good as many scouts think he is, then we will be seen as the Asian team. I read where Donnie Nelson had put in years of work courting Ming for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks will be second fiddle among Asians, despite having Wang.. The Rockets will give the Mavericks a run for the money.

Cuban would love to see the Rockets continue to be a cute entertaining team of small ball players who lose to the Mavericks in run and gun games.

Guess what. You like to see the teams in your division get weaker.

Who could have less credibility on this issue than Cuban?

I saw the show just a little while ago too, and at first it concerned me ALOT, but then he started comparing Shawn "sasquatch" Bradley to Ming and saying since Bradley has such long arms to match his body, he is much better than Ming. Give me a break!! Anyone who thinks Bradley is a good player has no credibility at all.
However, I still love Cuban and only wish we could have an owner as generous as him!

The only person besides you guys that have discussed this trade is Sam Smith from the Chicago Tribune. There is no way Cuban would deal Finley and LaFrenz for the right to draft Ming. That's about the most idiotic trade rumor I have ever heard. Hell, why not throw in Dirk for Fizer. Smith is only doing a little wishful thinking.

A trade like this would be the same as if the Rockets offered Francis, and Griffin for the rights to Wang.

Let's draft Ming, re-sign Kevin Willis, and change our team name to the "T-Rexes."

Having short arms helps in one area that Ming could work on: the bench press. Isn't it true that Willis can bench more than anyone else in the league, something like 450 lbs? If so, he could be brought back as a spotter for Ming in the weight room.

    Paraphrased:

CD: What do you think about this 7-5 Chinese guy...Yao Ming?

    MC: OVER-RATED, OVER-RATED

CD: But you have Shawn Bradley on your team.

MC: Yeah, but Bradley has arms that reach down. Ming has alligator arms [MC pretends to have alligator arms]

    CD: Why?

MC: He never played against any real competition. They never put him against the best players in the league. Plus they're all short.

    ---

How about Bradley-Yao one on one?

Come on Mr. Cuban, do you really want to embarass your overpaid toothpick?
