Mark Cuban addresses fans; rationalizes his decision-making as Mavs owner the last couple years

Whatever. Cuban's a billionaire, and we're not, so I doubt he's really suffering over any of this expect for maybe his ego. Nor do I think we're getting the whole story. In any case, that whole blog entry (humble Dirk, culture of winning, blah, blah) is nothing more than getting a head start on next Summer's free agency. Trying to puff up their brand and maybe sell season tickets.

And something else. The whole "never trade Dirk" stuff is probably meant to guilt trip Dirk into re-signing, but if Dirk wants to win a second ring and is willing to sign for less, I know a team south of Dallas that could use a four.

 

Rocks go to West Finals this year, Dirk signs with Rocks next year for the minimum, and Cuban has a conniption fit. That would be priceless!

 

TL;DR

Really Cuban? Of course the Mavs wouldn't know how to use a center probably; they never had a good one outside of Chandler.

Just read the blog and I actually liked it… I can see why he hired Rosas, he’s trying to replicate what Morey did. If anything, I appreciate Morey even more for being ahead of the curve and for having a billionaire want to copy him. HAH!
