Wow that is tough....Chandler and Amare in the same lineup...wow....Marion has always been undervalued if you ask me.

But is he a champion player?

I would definitely do this if I was the Suns, but Chandler does get injured alot. The Bulls though... they have alot of SF's already.

I don't think Amare would be as effective playing alongside Chandler. The way the Suns play, spacing is extremely important.

And can Amare defend PFs? Not so sure.

LOL at all these teams trying to get a big man that they hope will neutralize Yao, Duncan, and Shaq. I hope Phoenix does that deal. That means they see the train coming and they are trying to adapt to us.

Which is why you grab Rudy Gay or Aldridge or whoever with the #2 pick.

Amare is the player that benefits most from this trade. He never has to guard Yao, Duncan, Shaq, KG ever again. Chandler gives the Suns a big man that can guard the other team’s best big man every night, whether it’s a 4 or a 5. And if it’s a quicker power forward that likes to stay out on the perimeter (like Dirk), they can always put Diaw on him. This gives Amare the freedom to focus solely on offense every single game.

Adapt to us? They've been to the Western Conference Finals two years in a row and we haven't been out of the first round in a decade. I think it's safe to say that the Houston Rockets are not in their train of thought when considering potential player personnel moves.

    Marion's a 20 and 10 guy, and Chandler's a 6 and 10 guy. I'd say no.

I personally think Marion is better than Chandler. I wouldn't do it. Phoenix is already set for next year.

Why in the world would the Suns want to do anything at all to their roster?!

They reached the Western Conference Finals without Kurt Thomas and Amare. Does anyone really think that the Mavs, Spurs, or anyone else would stand a chance against a non-injured Suns lineup?

    Nash/Barbosa
    Bell/House
    Marion/Jones/T. Thomas
    K. Thomas/T. Thomas/Diaw
    Amare/Diaw

..unstoppable. I predict the Suns to take the title next year with that lineup.

if there serious about geting rid of marion then that must meen that their looking to keep tim thomas.

I wonder if the suns would go for stromile and our 8 for marion. contract wise stro is alot safer then chandler since he makes less over a shorter period of time. Stromile would reak havok runing the break with nash.

I am surprised how many of yall would do the trade from the Suns perspective. They were the 3rd best team in the west without Amare, Nash gets all the hype but Marion was a BIG reason why. Marion is one of the top players in the league, Chandler has been underachieving for years.

But if you get a 14 and 0 guy at #2, it's all good.

The Spurs dismantled a similar Suns team in five games in the Western Conference Finals last season. No, the Suns didn't have Diaw or Kurt Thomas then, but they did have Joe Johnson and they also had a more athletic Amare than the one they'll have next season. The Suns are a fun team to watch, but with or without Amare I think they'll lose to the Spurs or Mavs in the playoffs. Both SA and Dallas have the athleticism to play with these guys but also have a better structured, half-court offense, and that's what it takes to win in the final minutes of close playoff games.

I think the problem with the Suns team two years ago was that it really had no depth whatsoever. Barbosa was extremely raw and hadn't really gotten a handle on the game yet. Amare was left to fend for himself since Steven Hunter was not a very good backup. Jim freaking Jackson was the only bench player who did anything remotely productive and he was on the bottom end of his career anyway.

Now the Suns have much more depth. Barbosa really shined. Tim Thomas was a big surprise and a great addition for their style. They've got Diaw and Kurt Thomas who can both fill in at the 4 and the 5 along with James Jones who can play the guard and small forward spots. The burden isn't just on the starting 5 anymore. Now they've got plenty of guys who can step it up in case someone on the frontline has a bad game or gets injured. I think as the Suns get more comfortable and once they get a full team, they'll really be contenders.

The suns come up big in this deal, this will make room for Diaw and Tim when Amare comes back and give them a Legit shotblocker behind Amare. I would definately do this if Im the Suns, not so sure why the Bulls want to do this. They are small enough as it is and will lose rebounding and defense.

I think the suns win. They get to dump Marion's rediculous contract and get the number 2 pick which could be Morrison.

    Kurt Thomas/Chandler
    Amare/ Diaw
    Morrison/Tim Thomas
    Barbosa/Bell
    Nash/Barbosa

That is a sick lineup if you ask me.

Chandler's contract is just as if not even more ridiculous than Marion's. This by no means will save anyone money.
