18 and 8 tonight and the talent to keep it up. His production has always been there when given minutes. Legitimate 6-10 and Kyle Lowry killed with him all summer. Could we have had him for Jordan Hill & scrubs? Would you have went after a deal like that?
Obviously in hindsight, of course. That's the problem though. Taking no-names are a risk since there are no guarantees in professional basketball. Nobody knew what Hill and Speights were capable of, we got a bad draw but that's NBA for you. Just gotta win the next hand.
Had interest in him a few years back, Rockets had interest too .. But he has limitations, and Patterson and Morris are higher priorities. Not losing sleep over this one.
Rockets wanted him at the deadline last year... They were in deep talks with Philly for him when all of a sudden the 76ers broke it off. Then the Rockets replied by trading Aaron Brooks and Shane Battier for whatever they could get.
Griz sent a 2nd rounder to Philly and Xavier Henry to New Orleans. New Orleans sent a 2nd rounder to Philly. From everything I've read about him from Philly fans, he's basically their Jordan Hill. Incredibly frustrating player because he's so offensively skilled, and yet is super lazy and doesn't rebound. Just don't see where he would get minutes here in Houston.
