He's added 5 more teams to his list of acceptable teams, which includes Utah & New York. Okay, maybe I can see him going to Utah, but New York? What do they have? Sprewell & Houston? That team's heading nowhere fast. At this rate, he should just tell GS what teams he doesn't want to go to. http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/2685185.htm Jackson adds 5 teams to trade wish list Warriors center Marc Jackson has given General Manager Garry St. Jean a list of five more teams to which he would be willing to accept a trade, a team source said. Jackson, whom the Warriors are attempting to deal, has told the Warriors he now would accept a trade to Utah, Minnesota, Dallas, New York and Seattle. Already on his list are Orlando, Memphis, Indiana and Phoenix. On Oct. 19, the Warriors matched the Houston Rockets' six-year, $24.375 million offer sheet, meaning they retained Jackson's services. At the time, St. Jean said the team matched the offer sheet because it didn't want to give up an ``asset'' for nothing. Under rules of the collective bargaining agreement, the Warriors had to wait 90 days -- which expired Jan. 19 -- before they could trade Jackson. Jackson has the right to veto any trade the Warriors make for him until Oct. 19, the one-year anniversary of the date he signed his contract with the Warriors. The NBA's trading deadline is Thursday. Jackson, who missed Friday's game against San Antonio because of the flu, hasn't been talking to reporters recently and refused to comment. St. Jean also wouldn't comment. Jackson has not played in 13 consecutive games.
Well shucks...I'm glad we didn't sign that bastid. Anyone who would want to be a Jazz just isn't cut out to wear Rocket Jetsreams.
Actually Mj's doing to them what they did to him SCREW THEM why should he make it easy for them when they matched the rockets offer just so he would not join a better team in the same conference? and then not play him He told them before he would get his revenge Ride that pine Mj and milk the worthless warriors for what they are worth!
why should he make it easy for them when they matched the rockets offer just so he would not join a better team in the same conference? Because that's not what GS did to him. What GS did is resign a commodity that they had every right to resign. He's an asset to them that can bring them additional player(s) in the future. They would have been nuts to not resign any free agent that's "in demand" as he was. Now, I don't think they handled the process or the PR side of it well AT ALL, but they still made the right move overall.
Marc Jackjson wants to go to a team where he can play. ALmost all of the teams on his list need help in the frontcourt. For someone who had been stuck int he European League and then finally got his chance and proved himself, only to be delegated to the bench, it seems like he IS acting in his best interest and not wimping out. I'm sure he cares more about PT right now than going to a winning team - and why not...who said every athlete in the world had to have only one goal (winning it all) to strive for.
