I have Marc Gasol on my fantasy team, and hes coming along really nicely. He's starting at center and playing major minutes.
It's still the first half against Golden State and his stat line:

    7-9 shooting
    6-6 free throws

    20 points
    8 rebounds
    3 blocks
    1 steal

A possible candidate for rookie of the year like his brother?

If only he would lose 10lbs he'd be much quicker and more of a threat to all the unathletic C's out there. And btw I don't think his brother is the bees' knees at all.

I think he's going to be a good player. Heck, I think he is right now.

Underrated player so far. He's picking up the veteran tricks of the NBA rather quickly.

The more I see of this guy play the better that trade ends up looking for Memphis. Just for the record Pau was out right stolen from them but at least they got some cap flexibility and a good young prospect that they can develop. Im convinced that Marc will at least be better the Darko. But I guess that is not really saying much.

....You coulnd'nt have come up with a better player comparison? Marc has been playing pro in Europe for 5 years. He is only 23, he would've been a senior in college last year and this is only his rookie year.

I agree that the Pau deal is looking better and better. They saved a ton of money and got a great prospect in Marc who is filling that center position very nicely.

The core of Mayo, Gay and Gasol will develop really nicely.

That was a worst case scenario comparison. I think his up side Maybe Brad Miller before the injures and the drug suspensions.

Besides Darko is a bust when you consider where he was drafted. But he is a very serviceable backup center. I think in 4 years He will still be in the league playing for some one.

Decent start to the season for him. Props. But let's see how he adjusts when teams start keying on him some. Right now he gets almost no attention.

if he can shoot mid range jumper, he is a star in this league. He might be the better Gasol.

Griz got a very good future. I take them over Blazers.

The Warriors have one of the smallest frontcourts in the league. Biedrins is long but he is a stick and they have no other real interior presence. I wouldn't place too much value on this performance.

I think Marc Gasol will be average, at best. I don't think he is as good as Pau. More physical, but not as talented, overall. Pau is the better scorer and passer. Marc may be a slightly better rebounder.

He shot a few mid range jumpers and made them. He also made a 3 pointer but it didn't count because the shot clock ran out. I was impressed by him tonight.

Golden State has a tendency to give up monster numbers to opposing bigs.

I'm not very good when it comes to this fantasy thing. I'm 2nd and 3rd in the leagues I participate in, respectively.

    Not bad for a n00b.

Don't think so...just a solid player on a really bad team.

They're 2-2, i woulnd'nt say "really bad", maybe up and coming.

If Oden doesn't pan out I'd say that have just a good a shot as Portland to be a great team in the next few years. But with young teams, you never know they could be a in a constant state of "up and coming" like the Chicago Bulls.

to add on they also have the 2nd best fg% defense in the league at 37.5%...we will see how that progresses thru the year.
