Clutch was checking up on a rumor in THIS THREAD and the guys at 610 said they can't confirm the Marbury deal....huh? Anyone hear anything? I would take him.....JVG should be able to straighten him out and he would be a good PG, much better than Rafer. DD

JVG succeeding where Brown has failed? the question is the cost as well If it costs us .. howard plus Head [I cannot see NY taking moochie back] Would you still take him? Rocket River
It wouldn't be Moochie they were after; it would be his expiring contract. Anymore in the NBA, trading is predicated on contract values; talent exchange is a secondary consideration.
At this point I would take any sort of talented player. I belive that is the only way to salvage this season.
Why not? I mean, he got Minnesota past the first round, got New Jersey to the NBA Finals, took the Suns into contention, and put the Knicks back into the Willis Reed Era. He clearly makes teams better whenever he goes to them.
The 610 guys were referring to people calling in about this thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=106478&highlight=marbury Just another bogus ESPN message board rumor that duped a few people into calling the station. Move along, nothing to see here.
if he's not working under brown, he won't work under JVG. he makes too much for les to agree to it. we have nothing NY wants. won't happen.
Marbury = loser Seriously...look at all the teams he's been on in his career. Many of them were loaded with talent, yet they went completely nowhere. Marbury's just one of players that will always look good on paper. He's just plain selfish. People frequently use his assist numbers to "prove" that he isn't selfish. Surprisingly enough, they really don't. If you watch him play, you'll see that his assists don't come naturally in the flow of the game the way they do for Jason Kidd, Sam Cassell, or Steve Nash. A lot of times he forces those assists...as if he's trying desperately to pad his stats. I lived in New York the last two years, and pretty much watched him play more than any other non-Knicks fan. He can be spectacular yes...but his moments of brilliance usually only come once per 20 utterly bone-headed decisions.
