marbury has somekind of inferiority complex. remember he couldn't play with kevin garnett because he was jealous of his contract and popularity. why is he so worried about what yao ming does or how much press he gets compared to amare? just play the game stephon. as great a player as he is, the way he took the game so personally really played into the rockets' hands. props also to steve for not getting into that mindset and working the ball to his teammates.

I can understand Marbudy is jealous over Garnett.

But why in the hell is he jealous over a ROOKIE???
Something must be very wrong with the guy. I hope there is no postgame quotes from him, otherwise he'll say something nasty about Yao again.

Sounds like a man badly in need of some serious love. Too bad he's such an unlovable punk.

Yep, just got done reading the article myself. Marbury's been the league for about 5 years now. I think it's about time he grew the f*ck up. Saying crap like that makes him look like a damn fool. Grow up, and let your game do the talking.

Yes, I am sure he was specifically talking about Yao.

Read the newest comment from that punk here:

Neither player commented on the exchanges, although Marbury capped his postgame remarks by saying, ''No contest, man,'' when asked to assess the upcoming Yao-Shaq matchup.

This is Marbury's 8th year in the league. He only played one year at Georgia Tech before going pro.

    Nash is definitely in...
Bibby, not sure, he was injured the first month or two.
    Payton, not sure.

    hi

Actually i have no problem with his trash talk as from what i heard from you guys, ming really had a bad game. But "I'm a real All-Star"? How "real" is the idiot? Did he achieve ANYTHING yet? I just hate the loser to bad-mouth the others. What would the idiot say if the suns won the game...he's such a loser!!!!

This statement is THE reason why he will never lead his team to a NBA final. It's all about him being the star. Just look at NJ Nets. As soon as he was gone, they went to the finals.

Marbury just wants to be in the spotlight, and he can't figure out why he's not worshipped around the league mor by fans. Here's a suggestion: Why don't you nhelp your team win instead of worrying about you're "the man" or not. Minnesota was quite happy to get rid of you and has been to the playoffs regularly after you cried your way out. New Jersey seems to have gone from a lottery team to a conference champion after ripping off Phoenix in that trade.

    Coincidence? I don't think so!

He was talking about Steve -- he was really talking trash to Steve about that during the game.

I think Steve only has one thing to say here -- "Scoreboard!" :)

Seriously, Marbury is a FANTASTIC talent, but IMO he has kindof an inferiority complex. I mean, he's a great player, arguably better than Francis, but he is always complaining about something or someone. He is never happy with where he is -- he always wants MORE attention, MORE accolades, MORE love from other people. Marbury is out for personal glory and media hype. IMO, he's not a team player. And no matter how much people complain about Steve, HE is a team player. He wants to win before personal accolades. Marbury wants to be praised first, win second.

Marbury is a great player, but his attitude really sucks. He's a player that people like to hate unless he's on your team. Why is whining about Francis and Yao? Like that is really going to help him get voted in by the fans. He sounds very bitter.

According to ESPN, this is Marbury's 7th year in the league. His rookie year was '96-97.
