    He "Resigned"

TCU locked up Patterson with a new contract. Sumlin has to be someone they call in for an interview. IIRC, Mangino was an OU assistant. Not sure if that would be a problem. Who else do you see as possibilities?

All the local restaurant owners just laid off half their staff.

I don't see Sumlin going for this job. He could get a better job than Kansas if he waits till next year which I think he will do since he knows he has Keenum coming back next year along with a strong non-conference schedule. Mangino did a great job there turning the program around, building better facilities and the program is in much better shape right now then when he got there. I think Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables get the job if he wants it. Venables is from Kansas and recruits Texas very well which is the Jayhawks main recruiting zone.

Maybe so. Basketball will always be number 1 at Kansas anyway. They need someone to come in and clean up that division.
