With the exception of Torres(maybe Griffin), we had a terrible summer.

    1) Signed Moochie to a terrible contract.
    2) Signed Mo Taylor to a terrible contract.
    3) Did not keep Dream.
    4) Did not go after Webber.(maybe)
    5) Traded for Rice.

    1) Signed Moochie to a terrible contract. true.
    2) Signed Mo Taylor to a terrible contract. His only crime was getting hurt and getting caught. 75% of the nba smokes pot, including the coaches.
    3) Did not keep Dream. What the **** was he gonna do for our team? Swallow up our offensive chemistry?
    4) Did not go after Webber.(maybe) All about the benjamins. Sacramento gave him more. Whaever else he says is for show.
    5) Traded for Rice Mistake in hindsight. Three years ago he was averaging 29 ppg and eating the Rockets alive.

Waaahhhhhhhhhhhh....nice to look at things in hindsight when our entire starting 5 has been injured.

Well I'm happy to see we've had a nice smooth transition from "Webber" threads to "Our offseason sucked" threads...

    I salute you mumu...

    2) So that makes it right.
    3) And Willis doesn't.
    4) We did not go after him because we wanted to keep our core.
    5) 3 years ago we were in a boom. Internet stocks were hot. Jordan was winning championships. . . I hope you are not implying that Rice will be producing the same as he was 3 years ago. If you are then I guess you think those Internet stocks you have in your portfolio will one day come back. I guess you think Enron is not going Bankrupt.

The slump we are in now makes us focus on the negative. We have a lot of positives to look forward to when everyone is healthy.

    Positives:

    1) We still have Steve, Cuttino, Eddie Griffin, Kevin Willis, A Kelvin Cato who is trying now.

    2) A very good coach

    3) a VERY GOOD - EXCELLENT OWNER

    4) A new arena on the horizon

    5) We will appreciate winning more

I agree with you. Your points are valid. I just worry about the lengths of the contracts. Hopefully, Mo Taylor learns from this mistake.

Gr8-1 is right almost 85% of the league smokes pot Oakley was right.

Matter of fact I Know of 4 Rockets and some staff that smoke Pot. And do not need to show any proof. So please do not ask me for pictures because a person has to be a fool to even think I'de have pics.:p

When you have all that fame an fortune and you got everything under the sun what else is their to do?...majority of it runs way back when they were teens just because their superstars now does not mean their "role models" for todays youth so I am sure some mother is telling the media or a friend right now that Her son or daughter looked at Mo or Odom as "role models" and their child is now devastated.....

What I do not understand is a coach of a boys basketball team smokes pot and hes fired....Athletes get busted and their supported and suspended for 4 or 5 games....and then make comments like "They abused marijuanna" how do you abuse marijuanna? Does smoking it once in a blue moon justify the legal way to handle the drug? That statement he made was funny.
Alot of these players refuse to believe that they have drug problem. I bet if the league did a drug test on every player in one week I promise you half the leaue would be suspended. Same goes for Football.

Anyone know where I can find the Nate Newton fan club?

    :p :p

    Troy-
I agree. I think the NBA should be able to VOID contracts of players that have been caught. It should be left up to the discretion of the team.

Bah, we made some pretty decent gambles. They didn't pay off. So what? Teams take risks. The risks the Rockets took were all good ones.

The same thing happened to the Astros a couple seasons ago. They had to change, did so... and things didn't work out. That doesn't mean that you can look back and say "see! It was a bad decision!" Wasn't at the time.

BTW, Hakeem isn't going to be worth what Toronto signed him.

It's really all a ploy so that the Rockets can have an "excuse" for tanking, so they can get Yao Ming. They knew Mo would tear his achilles, and that Moooch and Rice suck. They also knew that Steve had an escalating case of plantar fascitis. Just to keep their fans sane, Rudy and CD signed Oscar Torres, and pulled the Jerry Krause potential card with Griffin. Now, we'll be able to suck, while looking like we're not actually tanking, and get a 22 year old Arvydas Sabonis with working knees.

Yao Ming will be much better than Arvydas Sabonis, barring injuries.

Also, I think Zydrunas Illgauskas is one of the best centers in the leafue right now. Portland would be crazy not to try and get him if he stays healthy till the All Star break.

Do you realize how good Arvydas Sabonis was before he joined the NBA? Before the injury bug struck him, Sabonis was the greatest basketball player in European history. If he had been healthy when he joined the NBA, he would have rivaled Hakeem and Shaq for the "best center in the NBA" title. He was a great player. If Yao Ming turns out to be half the player Arvydas was, then he will be an all-star.

    Does Yao Ming do pot?

I think the summer has been a smoldering disappointment so far considering the high hopes we all had. Chris Webber is but a distant dream. Turns out not only is Mo Taylor a lazy fat butt out for a pay day with his poor rebounding skills, he's a pot head who doesn't know how to get away with it. Glen Rice is a good guy who couldn't hit the rim with an RPG. Moochie Norris is our CBA millionaire extraordinaire who apparently hasn't noticed the zone defense people are playing. Then we get to the confusing stuff. Eddie Griffin, future star or Derrick McKey incarnate? The best thing about the offseason is definitely Oscar Torres with a slight nod to Kenny Thomas' continued hard work/improvement.
