anyone else find it funny when that fan had that derrick shooting stuff out of it? I know that's immature of me, but that was funny. Ahh, the good ol days. Oh well. What I love about these NFL Films video is that they could make the 1-15 Dolphins look like Super Bowl contenders.
I have a picture of my dad and me in matching Oilers jerseys. The numbers were our ages. His was 40, mine was 1.5. I wore our the record of the Oilers theme song as a kid.
Eh, that's nothing compared to the Luv Ya Blue days. What a great time to be a kid in Houston, TX. I had Earl Campbell posters, shoes, lunchbox, football cards, hats, etc. He was my IDOL. To this day, Earl is my all-time favorite athlete in ANY sport, and that includes Hakeem. We were the 2nd best team in the NFL for 2 or 3 years. Too bad one of the best teams of all time was in our division.
So can I. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TvWn_yGaA-Y&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TvWn_yGaA-Y&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Earl is still great. He refused to be inducted into the the Tennessee Titans "Hall of Fame" in Nashville. He response was "I played for Houston, I was never a Titan."
That's why the Duke of Earl is truly a pearl. The Tyler Rose stood for Texas Pride! He is, was, and forever more shall be Mr Oiler! Man, how I wish Earl would have been in tandem with Moon. I bet we would have won a SB or two. Bummer!
