saw it in the theater it was good. there are some resonating lines. "you're a prisoner of the block, and the gun shot sets you free" i thought it would be cliche and that line would come back in the end but it didn't! the movie was definitely pretty fresh. better than the manchurian candidate.
Got it from netflix yesterday and watched it last night. I'd give it 3.5 stars out of 5. For the most part, I enjoyed the story, and Creasy is a total badass. I think this movie could've been better though -- it could've forgone some of the cheesy dialogue ("Creasy's art is death. And he's about to paint his masterpiece"), and had less sporadic camera work. But I did enjoy it.
I watched this movie again last night after buying it from Best Buy for $7.50 and it was just as good as the first time I watched it... Still my favorite non-comedy ever...
I saw this movie-"Man on Fire" at the theatre on Weslayan @ Richmond when we were in the playoffs against LA when Shaq still played there. Byron Russell and shaq were waiting for a 700 series BMW at the Valet parking spot facing Weslayan. I liked the movie very much.
