Well, looks like any plans of Matt Maloney and Bryce Drew playing together fell apart today since Matt just got fired. Too bad, I guess. On the other hand, this would seem to ensure that the Bulls do in fact need to fill the white pure-shooting point guard on their team. And therefore, Bryce Drew may have truly found a home. The question is, does this give him more value than we originally thought? I don't think so, but it looks like if they don't want Maloney anymore they must have a backup plan for sure. I hope Bryce gets traded, for his own sake at least. I hope he does get traded to the Bulls... he might get some time to prove himself there. That's prolly the best option for him. I wonda what's next for Big M Maloney. ------------------ president of the dan langhi fan club.
There's always the Cuban leagues.... Do you have to defect for that? ------------------ "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
The funniest part is the Maloney is getting a paid vacation. The Rockets are on the hook for his salary for a couple more years. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
With Chicago so far under the cap, it may signal a trade where they take on more than they give ... a lot more. They are hovering around $24M. After what happened this year in the FA market, I can't see them sandbagging for next year. What is the league minimum that you have to have to field an NBA team? ------------------
They better lower they're damn ticket prices, thats for sure. Who would want to go and see the crap they're getting ready to put on the floor anyhow???? Ain't it a freakin joke!!! They are going to pay Rice all that dough because they aren't spending enough on salary for the players...HAH!!!!!! Its gonna be a long season in Chicago. ------------------ Be sure to water your grass [This message has been edited by Rocket101 (edited September 20, 2000).]

Matt was making minimum money on his Bull's contract and it is very doubtful this was a cap space issue. Mango ------------------ Test Your NBA Trade Ideas 1. Put new topics in the proper forum.
