Jeez, get over it guys. Jazz fans really believe that they are so mistreated by the refs, it's really getting sad. This is from the tribune: 'When Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain hit the 30,000-point barrier, Jazz announcer Hot Rod Hundley recalls, play was stopped and each of the NBA legends was presented with the ball. When Karl Malone became the third member of that elite club, scoring 35 and going over 30,000 on Saturday, all the thanks he got was a technical foul and belated public-addressed announcement.' Maybe if Malone didn't feel it necessary to gripe after EVERY trip down the court, the game would have been stopped for an announcement instead of a technical. ------------------ Is it any coincidence that we are the only team mentioned in the national anthem? I didn't think so!
I don't think there is an organization more pathetic than the Timberpups. From what everyone has been told, there were no plans to stop the game. Most of the Pups staff didn't even know what was going on. When one of the best players of all time hits a milestone that only two other players have done before him gets a standing ovation from three people, there's something seriously wrong. There's no reason the announcement came 5 plays and one timeout later - other than Jazz staff had to request the announcement because no one in Minnesota bothered. And he still does not have that ball....disgusting. But, then again, what can you expect from me, right? ------------------ Jen Next round of Nelson vs. Malone: February 24 @ Reunion Arena [This message has been edited by Jenna (edited January 31, 2000).]
I find it funny. Didn't he get that 30,000 on another knee to the groin clear out play? Here's my headline "Malones knee finds usual mark on his way to 30,000th point"
Good for Malone he does not deserve anything for his 30,000th point. What he really deserved was a sharp elbow to his face like the one he delivered to David Robinson, Brian Grant and Jermaine O Neal. That would have been a fitting momment if Karla would have been knocked out unconsous and Hornasuk and Flopton had to help him off the court.
