Game 2 from Frankfurt is in the books. Skyliners win 86-82, taking a commanding 2-0, (best-of-5) series advantage. Another solid performance from Malick. 20 minutes, 9 pts (4-7 FG, 1-1 FT), 8 rebounds. Was the leading rebounder for the Skyliners. Game 3 Friday in Bonn. I have a great picture of Malick from the game, but can not figure out how to post it in the message. If someone can help me out, I will post with the picture later today.

Never. EG may wash out and Badiane somehow make it in the league, but it'll be because EG doesn't have his head on straight, not because he isn't good.
That and because teams aren't interested in a help-side shot blocker who camps out behind the 3 point line where he shoots under 30%. I'm starting to think "tweeners" for C-PF are fine and for SF-SG work too, but PF-SF ... just don't really fit in the NBA.
your crazy if you think Badiane is gonna amount to anything. If a franchise has to rely on a guy currenly only scoring 9 points in a playoff game oversees, then we have no chance.
Is there any reason to believe that Malick is anything more than a bigger version of Darius Miles? Or any better than Keon Clark, at best?
Clark was a monster defensivley and could score a bit. He did what he had to do and blocked a good number of shots. If he can do a bit of that off the bench and bring energy, what is wrong with that?
Boki only averaged 13 points overseas when we drafted him, if memory serves. Malick is only 20 years old so give him some time.
If he ever plays 1/4 of the minutes in the NBA that either of those two have I will swim from the East River to Senegal and back.
Maybe there are people here that are expecting too much from him, but I don’t know why it is so inconceivable that he could contribute one day just because he’s a second rounder. The only two people that I’m aware of on this board that have seen him play are o3gs and Dr of Dunk and both have had positive things to say about him.
He hustles, he is an excellent athlete. Just give him some time, and with his dedication he could amount to something. Heck, he is a PF, and we NEED a PF bad......I am rooting for him. DD
Not having high expectatons for an unknown second round draft pick with no basketball resume =/ bashing
Exactly. Can anyone name 5 guys off of the top of your head who were drafted late in the draft, sent overseas and came back to make a significant impact on a team in the NBA?
