To me, an attractive woman gets my pulse going. I can't say that I've ever seen a man in this light. It's kind of like being blind and visualizing a flower. I can't see it, but I can empathize with what my wife is saying. I can see that a man with symmetry and in good shape is a better specimen physically than, say, the elephant man, but I don't get any 'feeling' about it. Then again, my wife likes beefy guys like Jason Statham, who aren't exactly 'pretty', like Johnny Depp. So what do I know?
