I think this is how the plan comes together:

Now we just gotta get Murdock out of the psych ward.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...

To be serious for a second, I think "making sense of it all" is a pretty interesting question after tonight. Was going to start a thread myself but since there are 25 worthless threads already started, maybe I'll try to add some worth to this thread instead

I feel like one of two scenarios happened here:

    - there is a trade in the works but it can't be announced until they consummate some sort of free agent move after July 1st. This doesn't seem to be too far fetched. Maybe Houston wants to sign Dragic before trading Lowry as a principle in a deal or maybe they need to sign some filler to a specific contract to make the deals work.

    - Morey had a deal in place with Orlando for Howard that they backed out of at the last minute. Maybe Orlando had their sights set on a player who went earlier then expected so they nixed the deal. Their rookie GM is all of 30 yrs old for christ sake - at that age, professionalism and keeping your word are not a given. Maybe their GM wanted to trade but got overruled by the owner/CEO.

...why do I think this? I can't believe Dalembert would be traded with no other center prospects on the horizon. It just doesn't make any sense unless they were confident a 2nd move is coming.

Consequences - either the blockbuster we have all been waiting for is just around the corner or Houston got sucker punched (again) and we are going to be holding a fire sale to get rid of some players. I imagine we would lose some money/value on a fire sale like that but it's the only way to get a roster whittled down.

    Thoughts?

    Well, to your first:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Morey: "We have potentially one more move, but a minor move."</p>&mdash; ClutchFans.net (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/status/218559374904397827" data-datetime="2012-06-29T04:19:50+00:00">June 29, 2012</a></blockquote>

Doesn't sound like anything big is coming.

I think this is related to draft and not free agency period (trades also possible) ...
