It's not what you think...who cares about making statements...who cares about respect. When will our players get this... Just do it. Just win. Don't ask for respect. Learn from Hakeem--who was always psychologically ready to be a Champion. If we sneak up on every team and smash all of them all the way to a Championship...then you can belt out something like "Don't underestimate the heart of a Champion"...when will players learn talk is cheap along the journey. Get there...then talk if you must.
ok........ i guess. Remember we were the team to beat from 92-95 after just 15 games into the 92 season. except for the sonics which were ousted twice in the first round, once by a crappy center, another by a crappy coach.
Never undrestimate the reconsrtucted heart( thorpe for drexler and ex-rocket tracy murray, who i'm fully entitled to talk about in the garm) of a champion
I followed this season carefully...we were perceived to be an untested team in 93-94. Once we got into the playoffs, one of the few guys that believed in us was Chris Webber...who remembers that interview on TNT? Which teams did the chest thumping...Suns, Knicks, etc... It's uncanny how mental readiness and humbleness contributes to winning. I will go out on a limb and say there were things that Charles Barkley and Karl Malone did outside of the game itself that contributed to the Rockets beating their teams during our Championship run.
I hit the reply button, but I forgot what this thread was about. I'm going to reply anyway. One day I was was juggling some duck eggs, and my arms fell off!
