Sorry if this has been posted already, but I was "lurking" on a magic forum to see if there was any news about the trade. updates..

And under a thread titled "Grant Hill's last comeback " It was rumored by an "inside" source that the Magic where delaying the deal trying to get Future Draft Picks from the Rockets..

If this is true then WiseARSE seems to be trying to step his game up a notch to the "Wiseguy" level.

Surely there must be some sanity to it all, but I think Tony Soprano Jr or better yet ...Johnny "NO" Sac is trying to lay in the weeds for potential deals after 7/15.. when J-Kidd, K-Mart, or any other big name player may be on the move..

I don't mind give them a first round draft pick for the 2066 draft, as long as it's first round protected.

If the argument is that a TMac/Yao combo will make you a non-lottery team for the next decade, and a championship contender sooner, rather than later, then there shouldn't be any problem giving up a first round draft choice.

On the other hand, you only have so many, and I'd rather save one to entice with other potential moves this summer (i.e. - trading Mo or Howard after this deal, along with TE, etc.)

You gotta know when to hold and when to fold. There needs to be a deadline!

It wouldn't surprise me if they are. It would depend on what they were asking for. If it was a protected pick sometime in the next 3 or 4 years, I'd be willing to do it.

CD would like a jackarse if he agrees to add to this deal. Anybody else notice how many times CD looks like a bi$%^ during negotiations? We gave Pippen away for absolutely nothing. Now, we finally have the upperhand in these negotiations and still he is getting punked! Seriously, CD needs to walk away, Weisbrod WILL come crawling.

Somebody explain to me the difference between McGrady's demands and Pippen's. Portland had the leverage then just as we do now! CD IS GETTING PUNKED! CD THINKS HE IS IN A POPULARITY CONTEST!

Remember last year when we were trying to get JVG? It wasn't pretty.

If they want a 1st rounder, I'd call the bluff. Give them a 2nd, if they want it. They're not going to do better than Francis, Mobley, and Cato. Wait the b*stard out.

Someone please explain the difference. I'm not saying not to do this deal; but, why do we have to give up so much? We got CRAP back in the Pippen deal! Why are we giving up so much? McGrady wants to come here. It is obvious! That is why Phoenix did not include Joe Johnson.

Don't tell me that other teams are offering good packages. It doesn't make a difference. CD is a B%&$%!

Actually, time really is on our side because SF3's BYC ends June 30, and the trade moratorium lasts from July 1 to July 14. That means we have to give up less or perhaps get more. The timeline pressure is actually on Orlando, not the Rockets. I know another two weeks will chafe board members mightily, but IMO the Rockets benefit from patience.

TMac is not using another star player on the team to force said
team to deliver him from the afore referenced team.

So, give in and say, 'Sure, hockey guy, that'll seal this deal?'
    And HG says, 'Sure.'
    So, CD says, 'Done deal.'
But HG says, 'Not so fast, I want _______.'
