I know there's talk of Magic in the best PG's thread, but his induction gets its own thread as far as I'm concerned. Magic, more than any other player, is responsible for my childhood love of basketball, and I'm sure that's the case for millions of other kids who grew up in the eighties. Of course I loved the Rockets growing up, but I was never going to be a 7 foot center or forward like Akeem or Ralph. So I emulated Magic. Remember when you were a 12-year-old kid in the eighties and the coolest thing on the playground was to make that one extra (preferably no-look) pass to set up your teammate? That’s all Magic. Now the cool thing to do is to isolate your man one-on-one and talk a little trash while making a crossover dribble... I also like how he's being presented by Larry Bird. That's just perfect. His bio says that he once scored 112 points in a Croatian League game on 40-60 shooting! If you ever saw Petrovic play, you know those weren’t 40 lay-ups ... here's a run down on today's inductees
