Doc Rivers is seeking for size and another scorer along the frontline. they're offering Darrell Armstrong ($4.5 million) and Andrew DeClercq ($3.6 million) "because their contracts expire at the end of the season -- something that would give teams salary cap space this summer."

it maybe an oppotunity for us to get rid of Mo T's fat contract. Taylor is playing his best of the season lately. Armstrong give us an experienced point guard and also a good defender. we also get about $8 million off book next season maybe that can make Les comfortable trading for Elton Brand.

    1.) Taylor+Morris for Armstrong+DeClercq
    2.) Mobley+Griffin+Moochie for Brand+Piatkowski+Wang Zhi Zhi

both trades accepted by the realGM

    Yao Ming, Cato, DeClercq
    E. Brand, Wang
    J. Posey, Rice, Nachbar
    E. Piat., Hawkins
    Francis, Armstrong, Madox

imo Brand along is worth the trades, we also upgraded our reserve point guard and make Yao Ming more comfortable with the team by acquiring Wang. I believe the chemistry would only get better and we get more veterans (experience) on the team.
we'd become a heavy weight contender right away and also get some cap space for resigning Brand in summer.

We should try to get Mike Miller.

    MoT + Mobley + T-Mo + Moochie for Mike Miller + Decelerq + Armstrong

That sounds a lot better. For them, more than us. Thing is, they're going to want Cato. They'd LOVE to have him. Too bad we're keeping him. UNLESS they offer Mike Miller, Declerq and a 1st round pick next year (protected for all i care) for Cato and T-Mo.

But I like my 1st one better. Mobley and T-Mo play minutes at the 2 and 3 to make up for Mike Miller, while Garrity plays a bit more at the 3. Moochie does whatever Armstrong did, but he's younger and is locked up. MoT is the best frontcourt player on their team.

They lose future cap space, but they're not significantly under it next year anyway, and it's unlikely they'll improve their team as much as they would making this trade.

While Grant Hill is out, here's their team:

    Hunter/Kemp/Burke
    MoT/Kemp/Garrity
T-Mac (starts here, but plays more SG)/Garrity/T-Mo
    Mobley/T-Mac (plays lots here)
    Moochie/Sasser/Mobley

Mobley replaces Miller's offensive production while bringing better D.

    With G Hill:

    Hunter/Kemp/Burke
    MoT/Kemp/Garrity
    G Hill/T-Mac
    T-Mac/Mobley
    Moochie/Mobley/Sasser

I'll go for that trade! We need to change and regroup right away. I think Steve will now realize that he can't win games if he's with mobley even though they have a good chemistry. But that chemistry does not affect the whole team in a positive way.. am i right? :)

Sorry, but I wouldn't trade for any players the Magic are offering right now.

I liked the first scenario. We get rid of both MoT's and Moochie's contract and get some very solid starter and bench material in return.

As long as we don't trade with teams that might beat us into the playoffs, I don't care who we trade with or for.

I dont think we would get under the salary cap by trading Mo and Moochie for Armstrong and DeClerk. I would still consider that trade though.

If we get Darrell Armstrong and get rid of 2 bloated contracts, Id do that in a second.

Verteran ledership, smart player, super quick, energy, decent shooter. Can play the point 20 minutes/game.

    Where do I order?

the rockets should trade if MoT's contract is longer than armstrong. armstrong is a solid point guard and a tenacious defender should help out the team when they want to play small ball or sit mobley when he's gunning and missing.

moT, griffin and rice for armstrong, miller and declerq

    great trade Hardrock!

We can even play Armstrong as PG and move Steve to SG. This trade seems to help resolve many of our problems

    1. Veteran Leadership
    2. Experienced smart PG that plays tough D
    3. PF in Brand
    4. Sharp Shooter in Pike
    5. Another bruiser in Declerq for good measure
    6. Best of all, we are trading guys that are not in our long term plans anyways. So its a Win/Win

Why not? I don't think the Magic would want Mo Hostess Twinkie Taylor for a power forward (they already have Shawn Ding Dong Kemp), but why not look at trades? Do you really think this team's core will go anywhere, now, or in the near future?

    Miller or Armstrong sounds good.

Didnt Armstrong shoot a team record 9 treys in the 1st qtr against the Rockets last year?
    may have been Outlaw?

I don't think Outlaw has made 9 three pointers in his entire career. The only one he has made against us was a lucky ass half court bomb at the end of second quarter.

I think Dennis Scott made the most for the Magic in one game. 10 or so.. Is that who you are thinking of?
