They swapped picks. Jazz pick up Borchardt while the Magic get Ryan Humphrey plus the 47th (?) pick.

This one makes no sense at all... the Magic give up a should be lottery center for an undersized PF that shouldn't have been selected in the first round? What?

Borchardt has foot problems galore that scared the Magic (and probably a lot of other teams) off from drafting him. They really like Humphrey as a solid contributor immediately and potentially a key guy in the future.

They think he's a bigger, wider, more athletic Bo Outlaw (or a Ben Wallace with more offensive game) and a solid pick there, even if many figured it a reach. Chad Ford and Dick Vitale don't think it is, though, after Humphrey posted great numbers last year and dominated both Boozer and Stoudemire in workouts.

Hmm... I thought that 18 would've been the spot to take a chance on him even with the foot problems, considering Orlando's lack of big men. Perhaps Humphrey will surprise me-- he definitely has nice athleticism-- but he just didn't come off to me as the kind of guy who had the post game to overcome his lack of size. I've been wrong on size before though, so we'll see...
