[rquoter]Jacque Vaughn is the new head coach of the Orlando Magic. A team official said the Magic will hold a press conference Monday afternoon to introduce Vaughn, a former NBA point guard who spent the past two seasons as a San Antonio Spurs assistant coach[/rquoter]
Great news! Looks like now that the coach situation is out of the way, the Magic can now focus on trading Dwight.
Suckers! They should have just kept Van Gundy and shipped Howard out of town. Now they settle for Jacque F***ing Vaughn. Good luck with that.
The spurs have some decent assistants, pretty savvy move (if the contract is cheap enough) by the new GM.
Gundy was a trip. For years he buried players like Ryan and Bass who were real solid and instead forced Reddick into the rotation when clearly he was crap, putting more stress on Dwight at the center. Now, you hear talks about Reddick getting waived.
Does anyone remember the season when Jacque Vaughn started the season like 0-25? Charles Barkley made fun of him constantly on Inside the NBA, eventually bringing a Bible to the studio to pray for him. When he finally made a bucket, Charles had a field day with the whole set up haha. I wish we could watch some video of that.
Wow only 3 years coaching experience on Spurs and he already has a NBA head coahing job. Is not what you know but who, Vaughn work with the currnet GM of the Magic when they were both worked for the Spurs.
Agree completely. Shaw made so much sense, it's almost downright amazing he didn't get it. But it seems like he's interviewed for a lot of gigs and has yet to really be mentioned as a finalist. I wonder what the deal is.
All other teams have to do to beat the magic is learn a decent crossover, vaughn cant even begin to understand how to not get beat by the crossover.
