According to a report on the news last night, Mothers Against Drunk Driving says that Texas did very badly according to it's rating system of drunk driving incidents nationwide. Not sure what Texas ranked numberwise, but their grade was a C. Went to their website to check it out. Funny, they are introducing legislation for the new year that will allow both sobriety checkpoints and mandatory blood testing. What in the heck is this? Both assumes guilt, not even considering the inconvenience this would cause. If MADD or anyone else wanted to end DUI, why don't they nip the problem in the bud by either making possession of alcoholic beverages contraband or pricing it into the ionosphere? This is just driving me crazy. Ooops, I forgot, I am crazy.
mandatory blood testing? that settles it. i won't be leaving my house on new year's eve. i won't be pricked with a needle! thanks MADD.
