From a Texas Longhorn Alumn and Donating Member (yet I don’t have enough clout to remove Mack or anyone…I just pay) Mack Brown is really reminding me of John Cooper more and more. I mean John Cooper could beat everyone except for Michigan. Mack can beat everyone except OU and its not that he just loses…he gets out coached and just manhandled every time they play lately. If you don’t believe this comparison just look at the numbers… -John Cooper 13 Years at OSU Overall: 111-43-4 Percentage: .703 Vs. Michigan: 2-10-1 Percentage: .181 -Mack Brown 5 ½ Years at UT Overall: 53-17 Percentage: .757 Vs OU: 2-4 Percentage: .333 Vs. A&M: 4-1 Percentage: .800 I mean after looking at the numbers they really look very similar. Now that being said Mack has been the best thing for Texas Football since D.K. Royal left a while back and he really has brought the program back to the national scene, but he has got to understand that beating A&M isn’t what it used to be and beating OU is more important because Texas is not just losing they are getting whipped by OU every year. Now I don’t think that Texas Alumns and Brass will give 13 years to Mack Brown, hell I would be surprised if they gave him 2-3 more years at this rate, but if they did who would be a candidate to replace Mack? I can’t think of any but who is out there?
