I was wondering if anybody knew how to make the magsafe connection stronger. My power adapter comes off too easily when I just move my laptop from one place to the other. It's pretty damn annoying.

you can check out this product:

    http://thoughtout.biz/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=33

It connects to the ethernet port and holds in the magsafe adapter. but I guess you'd need to be using a wireless ethernet connection to use it and be connected at the same time.

they also have one for older macbook models that connects to a USB port.

Strange, I've never had this problem.

That little add-on looks like a fix, though.

In good faith, I can't recommend this. The whole point of the MagSafe adapter is so it DOES come out easily. If you're using it on your lap or in bed in a position where the adapter plug is coming unattached, there's a problem. The whole point of the adapter is to prevent damage to internal components caused by stressing that cable connection. Keep in mind that physical damage (such as the damage it would take to bend the aluminum casing or the internal circuit boards) is NOT covered by AppleCare.

Good point. My old Dell laptop's power connection was one of the first things to wear out on it.

The magsafe connection has been great and stayed sturdy throughout the life of my MBP.

    True story

So I give my Dog a bath in the tub and finish up. I dry her up and open the bathroom door. He runs FULL SPEED down the stairs towards the couch. I have my blackbook on the coffee table connected to the wall in front of it. She wraps her legs on it and YANKES the cord like a rubber band.

The laptop doesn't move....at all. SAFE.

the magsafe end of the cord was ruined but I took it to the apple store and they gave me a new one

It's easy to pop off for a reason.

Yeah, it's supposed to remove easily...but not that easily. You might want to take the adapter to the apple store and see if it needs to be replaced.
