I just saw that. He is watching the Nets-Cavs game right now. He was talking about VC but than about JVG. He said he wants JVG back as a coach.

TMac said that Van Gundy's the best coach he's ever player for and that he wants him back.

He also said that he feels like he can win with JVG. Hopefully he'll finally get to the 2nd round next season

he's probably only saying that because he already knows that the front office or jvg has made their decision to part ways

I don't think so. It looks like he really likes Jeff and he wants him back as a HC.

Of course, he's said that many times in the past as well.

Well it would be a difficult situation if mac said he doesnt want jvg back and the rockets dont fire him. He has to go along with it now whether he like him or not

why would anyone with any common sense say anything else?

did anyone expect him to say, "well jvg is alright, i dont think i can win it all with him, but as long as rockets keep him i guess i have to play.."

he might be afraid of loosing his position as a starter ;)

his last years performance was not all that, I guess JVG gives him xoxo after games

Of course he wants JVG back.....he never criticizes his soft playing butt. Everyone loves their enabler.

That is what we need, Captain Charmin inviting Kleenex to come and play.

The Rockets don't have a softness problem, they have lack of atheleticism problem. TMac took plenty of punishment this series, as did Yao, and Chuck, Shane, even Juwan throw their bodies around repeatedly...

But none of that makes Yao able to chase down Boozer or enables Chuck to dunk on guys, or gives Shane the ability to cross guys over on drives to the hoop.

I don't give a damn how soft Vince Carter supposedly is... just remember Baron Davis has his injury prone/softness/lack of focus issues, too... but talent still wins.

Let's remember that the guy who really turned the tide in the series was a max player who cried after game 1. "Soft" players, as long as they can play, are useful.

Not everyone has to be some sort of Army Ranger in order to win games.

well he could say something like "i'd like it if he game back, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. it's out of my hands". He didn't have to see he was the best coach he's ever had.

When Francis (who's won as many playoff series as McGrady) said he wanted Rudy back, no one cared. Shaq said many times he would NEVER play for anyone other than Phil.

JVG is the best coach I've ever played for.

How many coaches he's played for and who are they? lol

I'm gonna make Stro an All-Star.

We have won the deciding game [game 5 of the Houston-Utah series].

    It's on me.

Well, if you take TMac's words seriously, it's on you.
