Micheal Jordan criticizes his former team, saying he would not have come back if he knew he was not appreciated. Surprise this hasn't been posted yet: http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/5013688
"I didn't have to" come back, Jordan said. "But I did it with the benefit of trying to help an organization to get back on their feet. And the gratitude that was given? It was, 'Your service is no longer wanted or needed.' So I felt like I was used in a sense." This is a pretty disingenous statement if you ask me................
just stay retired and shut up already Jordan. Keeps bringing himself back into the news when he feels alone.
Now that he's been gone a little while, I think it's safe to look back and say he should have not made that second comeback anyway. Sure, he was still a contributor, but I think that and statements like this coming out now hurt his legacy. The more of this kind of stuff that gets out the less people will focus on what he did in his great years. What did he expect in Washington, anyway? Did he think he'd be able to play there as long as he wanted to, and go out on his own terms again? I'd like to hear their side of the story on this. He came back and helped their popularity for a year or two like he wanted to, and to give the young guys a chance to grow. I'm sure then the organization wanted the young guys to take over and get out of his spotlight, and maybe he wasn't ready to do so...so he's calling them out on it now.
This guy's ego is so inflated. He thinks everything is about him. If anything, he set back the Wizards franchise. But then again, considering its the wizards, they didnt really need his help in that area.
Perhaps this will change some of you's opinions ftp://ftp2.nbaevolution.com/nbaevol...n-act4.theendofallthings-nbaevolution.com.zip
Jordan was TERRIBLE running a franchise. It was no coincidence that the Wizards finally got good when Jordan LEFT! It is no wonder ownership didnt want Jordan back after he finished playing. They didnt want him to continue to f' up the franchise.
jordan came back for 1 reason - his ego. i remember in his last season he was talking about buying an nba team - this while he was still w/ the wizards and presumbaly going to return to the front office. he showed no loyalty to them.
I think he has new book coming out soon.....which explains his sudden push to get his name back in the media....cheap publicity & promotion
Seriously you guys !!! If you haven't watched "The Legend of Michael Jordan, Act IV" Then download the above link. It's about when Jordan was with the wizards It probably will be the best download you ever make.
Just watched it. You've gotta be kidding me... what was so great about that? How's that supposed to change anyone's opinion? He made a few pretty fadeaway jumpers. Great. So that makes it okay that he traded their best young talent for the sake of winning now? That makes it okay that he publicly berated younger players for "shooting too much" even while he led the team in shots? That makes it okay that he basically abused Kwame Brown? That makes it okay that he didn't make the playoffs in one of the weakest conferences ever? All he did was set the Wizards back. A little highlight clip that hypes up a failed experiment doesn't change that. Yeah Mike... you were sooooo used. That's one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. He was running the whole thing, and everyone knew it.
i agree with mike he was treated like CRAP by the ownership in washington. he brought more attention and put more asses in the seat in his two years than they had EVER had, and what did they do after his comeback....kick him to the curb. he deserves better than that, and so would anyone in the same situation. it takes more than 2 or 3 years to build a team that is AWFUL to a contender.
Yeah, it takes long-term thinking. Clearly, you rebuild a team by trading an up-and-coming Hamilton for an aging Stackhouse and reducing your high school draft choice to a walking inferiority complex. Gee, now I wonder why they wanted him gone?
