    Tweet from CAM writer...
Grizz offer 5yr 75million deal which was rejected by Marcs agents.

As the rockets i would offer 90 million just so memphis has to match.

As the Rockets you can't offer 90 million

Wow, if I had just been 10 inches taller, I'd be 7 feet and could make some easy bank as a center. You just have to be able to not trip over your own feet...very much.

why not? 12million under the cap, this would put them over by 6 million. do you think Cuban, LA, Mia, or 16 other teams would hesitate to go over the cap to sign their long term center?

This sets the precedent for Nene? No offers under $75 million, otherwise teams will be "disrespecting" him?

Because the CBA doesn't allow it...

So this rumor seems bogus since that's all the money he can get anyway.

I doubt this. That's 15 million a year. No way he rejected that.

    Interesting...

A risky but good move. The capable C's are scarce right now and he's one of them.

So he rejected an almost max offer? Doesn't seem true, but if it is sounds like he's hoping to leave Memphis.

Of course they'd hesitate, because the contract would never be approved by league since it's illegal to go over the salary cap in free agency. In fact, they'd probably get fined for wasting the commissioner's time with such an egregiously illegal offer.

He can get the same money in a S&T if he wants to leave. If he can't get a S&T worked out he's got the potential for another max deal after this one anyway.

Neither Gasol, Nene or Chandler is worth max money imo. Put max money into players that actually will put your team over the top.

do the math...not average per year. you must consider 7.5% raises.

Whether this is too much or not...this is not a max.

This is the same n00b that said a "very reliable source" told him a rondo-cp3 swap was gonna happen.

Dont believe it but that might be around what it takes to get him if we want him here. Did he reject it though? Highly unlikely.
