The Rockets are over the cap with the players they currently have without drafting a player or a mid-level exemption. Les Alexander doesn't want to pay a salary +plus the luxury tax. Keep the current team together and let them mature, or hope another team is crazy (Bull's) enough to take our high salary players. (MoTaylor, Cato, Norris)

I live in LA, and yea i relocated from Houston. Rockets dont' get any coverage at all, except for the Yao vs Shaq stuff. Having the lakeshow and the clippers here (i hope they draft tj ford, go horns) means TWO nba teams, that doesn't give you much exposure to other teams w/ out hearing the biased LA media here. Go Rockets.

Alot of people have been harping on this luxury tax issue. Will there even be a luxury tax cap this year?

great point. It was my understanding that the NBA would be able to avoid the luxery tax this year with new TV contracts. I would really like to know for sure if there will even be a luxery tax as well.
