sports radio 610 just had a audio snippet from today. Where cd said that they are not worried about going over the luxury tax this offseason to make this team better. I guess he is speculating about deals or trades in the works?

Probably the first official confirmation that there will not be a luxury tax next year.

    Welcome back, Posey!

How much money are the Rockets making from Yao now. And maybe even more in the future.

Will that effect the amount of money that the Rockets are willing to spend on players.

I think once Ming becomes better and even more popular that the Rockets would have to give him the max X 2 to begin to equal what he will bring to the Rockets.

Having Posey back is going to kick ass. He's the only guy who likes to play D and will run the floor. Don't know how that affects Boki.

If posey comes back they will prolly deal boki. They cant have him just sitting on the bench then it was just a wasted first round pick.

There's no reason we can't keep both, especially since Rice will probably be gone before long.

Well if that's the case, how about this trade?

    Rockets Trade: Mobley, Rice, Nachbar

    Knicks Trade: Allan Houston

    from Joe Barely Cares:
lol. Well, I doubt that, but I do agree CD's soundbite does make our probability of our signing Posey even greater.

Well, I don't expect the Les to go nuts here, but at leat it tells me he might be willing to really bite the bullet for one season and go for a FA this year knowing Rice's contract expires the next. No matter how little Les is willing to pay in luxury tax, it gives us flexibility.

Well, it's not like he is telling us anything new (being a Lakers fan), but might as well hear the story behind it...I think it's a lost bet with Oski2005, but don't know the details...

If CD really said this  , then Les has to be planning a big move that will generate lots of buzz and lots of season ticket/luxury box sales for the new arena. Who will we get? What moves will they make??

Something big is going to happen.
This just isn't the sort of thing to come out of CD's mouth. When was the last time he made a comment like that? Not since they came up with the luxury tax... that's for damn sure.

I don't get excited often, but that post gets me psyched, Deckard. I really, really hope you're right.
