Could he be gone now? With the addition of Bonzi...

I would love to get a nice power foward.

Maybe package him with next years first rounder or something.

Hate to see him go thou.

I think this will just be more like a rookie year for him, i dont see Bonzi sticking around after this year.

possibly... but remember Bonzi and TMac both had significant injury problems last season. Luther Head is still valuable to this team even if he is initially out of the regular rotation.

If Bonzi is injured again, Head (with Snyder) will need to play some of his minutes. I don't really want to see either Azubuike or Jacobsen for more than specialist/garbage minutes at this point. Snyder hasn't really proven he can handle more than sub player minutes right now, also.

My guess is it will take the Rockets (and whoever their potential trade partners are) a while to work out what they really think their team needs are... so any kind of Luther deal will come well into the pre-season, possibly in the middle of the season.

something, or more directly someone has to give.

Maybe Head, he's certainly been talked about (at least by fans) as a tradeable commodity.

not sure who the PF's are that we could look at sensibly.

we have a glut of guards though and I predict there will be a move sooner rather than later - prob some kind of 2 for one.

I think we will see plenty of Luther as a point guard. I have a feeling that a favored lineup will be Pg - Luther Sg - bonzi Sf - TMac Pf - Shane C - Yao

in this lineup Luther would really just defend the other teams point and space the floor with his three. Tmac will play point forward.

    Mcgrady/ prob will play sf.
    Bonzi

Luther is more of a scorer thou.. I'd rather have Alston dishing out passes to the 4 scoring options and Vspan coming off the bench.

I still love Head more than Synder. I would consider shipping Head only if Synder has proved that he is a better player on the court.

I think we should hang on to him. I think he was a steal in the draft and he has proven his heart on the court. His skill will get better.

Head was clutch at times last year.

Hit some big shots late, immediately coming to mind is at Golden State and at Charlotte.

The only reason why Head could be shipped is because he is the only one with value. I reall think we should keep Luther because I think he can turn into a very nice energy player, he can already hit the 3.

As for Snyder, I was happy with the pick because we didn't have to give up anything. He has good size and athleticism but I don't like the idea of moving Head just because of Snyder. I forgot where I read this, but a Jazz fan was saying we shouldn't get our hopes up with Snyder, after all...he was dealt for Greg Ostertag and then dealt to us for almost nothing.

I really like that lineup in crunch time. TMac initiates at the top, with Yao, Battier and Head are spotted up in the corners and Bonzi is cleaning up the baseline.

You got the 3 ball, you got the PnR, and you got a big guard posting up somebody down low or crashing the glass for the putback.

And that would probably be our best defensive unit out there. Luther is the best point guard defender we have on this team.

Still, if we have to move him to get rid of Juwan's contract, I say we do it.

Juwan, Head, and Rybo to the Lakers for exprings.

I want to see Luther Head play this season, before trading him away. Right now, I don't think he has enough trade value to get a decent power forward anyway.

I would like to see him take Rafer's job.

And until we know what we are getting from VS or Synder he is Bonzi's primary back-up.
