Both 2nd round draft picks, 6'2", and PG/SG... except Gibson is being clutch like horry and is 4/4 from the 3 point line against the Pistons today, closing them out.

Oh and Rasheed Wallace just got ejected. This game is over

Luther was a first round pick. Not that that makes the comparison any better, but at least get it straight

You read my mind word for word. If Luther Head shot half as good as Gibson in these playoffs we would be playing game 7 against the Spurs tomorrow night.

Oh, yeah. Here's what he should learn: play on a team with LeBron James.

Raise your hand if you want Gibson's job, shooting uncontested 3's while three guys hang on one of your teammates. Line starts here.

I think CD should learn a lesson from this - Drafting Novak in front of Gibson?

That's pretty much what Luther does... Gibson's hitting them, and Luther didn't.

-vj23k(A huge advocate of drafting Daniel Gibson last season)

uh, head/alston/battier shoot more 3s than any team for a reason => b/c they're open all the damn time.

if u want to take open Js, go to houston. but doesnt mean u'll make them though

Looks like Will has been sucking on the Lebron James Bandwagon Juice.
If I remember T-mac and Yao both gave Luther lots of open, uncontested 3's as well

man, not just head, its also alston, howard, battier. they didnt just have OPEN shots, they had WIDE open shots where they could sip their coffee, read the front page of the chron, then licks their fingers, and then shoot. thats how open they were

you have to realize not everyone can be someone else.....if someone could do that then

tmac needs to be more like lebron
yao needs to be more like shaq
juwan needs to be more like varajao
    etc...

it's a stupid thing to say. 1 star if i could rate it

Then how did he get 15 freethrow atempts by wide open? He had a complete different game than JVG's team.

If luther + Alston can shoot that many fts.............

From what I can see, Gibson has better handles than Head. Luther is spot up shooting only, you can run hard at him without worrying about him making you pay off the dribble.

I think what this really shows is the importance of hitting a homerun or two with these late picks.

really though, gibson does penetrate better than head. both get open shots. but at least when the defender tries to close hard, gibson can dribble to get himself to the basket.

head will prollie bounce the ball off of his ankles.

Gibson has a floor game and attacks the basket. He has way more skills than Luther.

FYI : For those of you saying if only Head could hit wide open 3's, he shot 2's, 3's, and FT's better than Gibson during the regular season. If all you want is a guy that has a good game or two in the playoffs, you have a point based upon this season.

Is Gibson a better player or will he be a better player than Head? Maybe. But if you're making your decision based on a couple of games, then I don't get it.

A couple of games would've been big for us though.

I like how Luther Head freaks out when the other team pressures him -> he either turns the ball over or passes it off immediately.

Wish Gibson could've stayed at Texas another year and played alongside KD.
