Ok so many of you have wondered why he doesnt dunk. Obviously he has the leaping ability (ex. dunk over turiaf). I too believe he should finish with a solid dunk. Not for show, not to make the games more exciting, but because if he gets this weapon, he may be worth so much more to us.

He already has the outside game. He has the midrange game (which is the most underated shot of the 21st century). HE can also drive to the basket, but how many times have we seen him get blocked or miss an easy reversal? Too many. If he can finish strong to the whole he can be a triple threat. The way D-wade is or Josh Howard (Of course he is not on that level, how about i tone it down a notch) he can be a cuttino mobley.

Who here thinks that he could break out by adding this to his repertoire? Does he have the intelligence or ball handling skills to achieve this (recall that The Cat was not a very good ball handler)? or was the last game an exception to his game? We may very well be looking at our 3rd scorer blossom.

Luther needs to finish around the basket better before he dunks. Another reason is he can't palm the ball, if he dunks, he's gotta do it with 2 hands.

Whoever taught Chuck Hayes how to make a layup should be with Luther 24/7 cause he really is a sorry ass finisher inside. Dunking? Maybe, he might be too tired from all that walking around the three point line

I don't think he really needs to dunk all that much, but I do believe Lu was the 3rd scorer/shooter needed that was missing from the Jazz game. It takes a lot of talent to score 30 points in the NBA, I don't care who you are. If Lu can just work on his pumpfake/midrange J game, I have no problem with him and Alston getting plenty of minutes against Utah's short Fisher/Williams backcourt.

Anyone who saw him at Illinois doesn't understand why he can't drive. The guy was fearless and went to the hole strong with an attitude. He's been JVG'd.

Sometimes you can argue with results, and I think there are 4 very important guys on this team whose game JVG has partially lobotomized. But that's a topic for the off-season.

I'm starting to believe this is true. A lot of our players have had to give up their versatility to fit in our simplistic, inside-out system. Gone by the wayside are Lu's driving, Shane's mid-range, Yao's shooting and mid-post passing...hell, JVG wanted V-Span to be a spot up shooter, and anyone that has watched him before knows that's not what he does.

JVG is shooting himself in the foot by not taking complete advantage of all of his players' skills. Mostly because when we get into games where the system isn't working (like GS and Phx), our guys are completely out of practice in how to do thigs that once used to be staples of their game. Then we look really pitiful.

Steve Francis couldnt palm the ball either, that never stopped him from attacking the basket. I do feel like hes changed his game to satisfy the coach. He should bring more swagger too, remember cuttinos swagger that was a key to last years clippers. I guess I just miss the cat thats all. Plus I think that if Head breaks out, he can give us 16-18 points a game and pick up the slack when the stars are down or having an off night.

There is someone that i think should dunk almost everytime.

Tracy McGrady, yes sometimes he does, but MOST of the times, he just lays it up, and what pisses me off the most, HE MISSES THEM! So i believe T-Mac seriously need to dunk the ball...

The last thing I want him to do is dunk. Someone with his size, dunk will dramatically increase his chances of injuries. Right now, we just need yao and t-mac to dunk more, and lurther to make those 3.

Don't we all wish to see more dunks, but I think the MOST important thing Luther needs to do is get better handles.

If he can become a solid point guard with good handles, better decision making and passing, and continue to shoot well, then he would become the....

    "BEST HEAD EVER"

or as I like to call it, "Platinum Head" :D

This stuff is funny. Luther needs to dunk to get to the next level? What level would that be, Kirk Snyder's?

On offense, dunking is low on the list of what Luther needs to go to the next level. First off, he's got to learn how to create his own shot off the dribble. Right now, he is nothing more than a spot up jump shooter. All teams need to do is charge him when he pulls up and force Luther to put the ball on the floor. That negates him 99% of the time.

Yeah T-Mac needs to dunk it more than Luther in my opinion. I can't wait until the playoffs.

Anyways, Luther Head, a 6'4 guy, can't palm the ball? This is news to me.

Late first round picks aren't supposed to average 10+ ppg in their 2nd year.

If anyone needs to dunk it should be Yao. I want Yao to make people scared whenever he touches the ball. I'm gonna give Yao some DMX cd's to listen to so he could get f%$ked up and start putting peoples faces in the basket.

If anyone has played NBA2k7, they would know that Luther Head is a poster boy. And he's righteous from outside. T-Mac just needs to attack the basket. I don't care if he dunks or layups.
