Any word on Luther's groin injury? How long is he out? I couldn't see anything on the chronicle website.

What is everyone's problem with Head. I personally think he's a good player. When McGrady has been out Head has been the one to step up. Here's some things to consider:

In the game's he has gotten at least 30 minutes he is averaging 17.8 points per game that's pretty damn good.

His .421 shooting percentage is misleading. He has shot nearly half his shot's from 3-pt land. He is shooting 48% from inside the arc that's phenomenal for a guard.

He has a nearly 2-1 assist-to-turnover ratio which is also quite good.

He's our best 3-pt shooter and one of the better one's in the league.

    He's cheap at $1,122,000.

So why all this hate he is a good player.

Some of us are, some are posers. That being said just because people criticize doesn't mean they aren't fans in most cases it just makes them stupid.

You're coming at this from the wrong perspective of somebody that obviously doesn't watch every single Rockets game. I'm not insulting your basketball knowledge or suggesting I know more than you or anything like that. Just that you're misinformed and relying on skewed statistics to base your arguments on this guy.

Sure, he's a good shooter. But what else? His brain farts on both ends. His streakiness. His horrible passing and defense. Hell, the guy can barely dribble the ball with his head up.

These are all issues that don't show up in a box score that he has chronic problems with. In my mind, he's the kind of player that if he's getting heavy minutes from you there's no way you've got a great basketball team. I think he would best be suited on an uptempo team where his lack of halfcourt offense and adequate defense can be disguised in an up-and-down system.

My advice to the Rockets on him is showcase him, if need be. Most certainly, sell high and see what he's worth.

Huh what I'm sorry I find it hard to listen to a guy who still supports James, someone who has spurned the Rockets twice.

Sorry had to do it, but you're right for the most part. One no I don't see all the Rockets games about 1/3 because I live in Indiana and do a lot of sports reporting and announcing which tends to happen at night during the games. I also agree Head isn't a great player, he's a good player. Playing him 15 minutes a game is what he is and that's about what we play him. He is our lone die-no-might 3-pt shooter the main reason we need him.

Ridiculous how people talk about players on their own team. I personally think Head is a good player but he lacks consistency like Rafer. They both can score 20+ and hit big shots but can also throw bad passes and have many TOs that will cost you. To all the haters, don't forget who stepped up at SG when T-mac was out: Head, look who made some big shots against Golden State: Head etc.

He's a good SG to start with even though you have better players but he seems like a good guy, never complains about calls, keeps his poise and will never back down.

Well let me ask you. Did you or do you go to college? And if so, did your college produce any NBA players? What if the lone NBA player your college produced, that you've followed and been a fan of for years, PLAYED FOR YOUR FAVORITE TEAM?

My guess is that you'd be a fan too especially whenever the PG position is still our biggest potential downfall. Mike James is still a good player that we're underutilizing but hey....that's a different argument for a different place.

The point is all about Luther. I think he's an okay player that plays hard and deserves some respect. I just don't think he's a rotation player for any team with championship aspirations.

My situation is different. Bonzi Wells is the best player on the Rockets unlike James. :D
