Luis Scola has quietly been moving up the charts in FG% for the Rockets. Right now, he is at 55.4% which is tied with Chuck Hayes for the best FG% among regulars. Which is great, but I am starting to see him showing a little more emotion out there, which this team DESPERATLY needs. If he can continue to hit his shots, rebound and provide that energy that the team needs, the sky is the limit. I love how he works under the basket, he has such an assortment of moves, and always seems to get his shot off, I can't wait for Adelman to get him some touches on the low block. I know Chuck Hayes is starting, but can it be long before the Passion Assassin takes over? HOORAY LUIS !!! DD
Quite possibly one of the ugliest NBA players since Gheorge Muresan, but, he is a badass all the while!! Stay UGLY Luis......you scare your way to the basket!
He just plays such a heady game of ball, and is usually the ONLY one moving without the ball. If any of the Rockets want to see how to get to open spots and take advantage, just watch Luis. And now that Tmac is actually passing him the ball, it is working out great for the team. 55.4% is a very nice shooting percentage. DD
but it fits...if only we could just trade Hayes for Fabio Walter Hermman and then we'd have the one of the flamingest nicknamed "Euro" front courts. Fabio and Passion Assassin
This is exactly what I expected from him. But I want his passion to affect other players too. If he continues to do that, the rest of the players will follow, until the moment when we think that our destiny is NOT in the hands of TMAC anymore. A great team is composed of great players, not just one player.
How does it fit? Passion Assassin makes it sound like he comes in the game and sucks all the heart out of the team. You might as well call him the Purple Carebear
his making shots in the way reminded me of ginobli. crazy. some shots were made from nowhere. he just made them. in a couple years, i hope he will make impact on rox like ginobli did to spurs.
the future is looking bright for scola.....I gotta say he is developing alot faster than most expected....cant wait to see how he shapes up in march
If Bonzi, Steve and James start providing points consistantly off the bench, there is no reason why Scola shouldn't be starting. I LOVE the way this guy plays. I would also like to see him down in the block some more.
You can't say that with pau Gasol on the same floor, makes Scola look like Brad pitt Once Scola got past his jitters he's really settled into his spot, Scola is quickly starting to pay dividends the way we all hoped!
For any of you rap/hip hop listeners/followers, a new nickname has been dubbed for Scola. Luis Scrilla. Anyways, as far as Scola goes, I really want to see him work into the starting lineup.
I love the way Scola plays, if he keeps improving I expect him to take over the starting spot by mid season.
i think adelman is not playing lusic scola 35 min a game because he wants to gradually pace luis scola for the postseason. very shrewd, young man! and vice versa, he's wearing refer out on purpose, so francis and james can be fresh come april, may, and hopefully june.
