I believe we should play Luis like the Spurs play Ginobli off the bench. Luis should be substituting for Yao or Battier. We really need a spark off the bench and Luis should be that man.

Nope, Luis covers up for Yao's short comings and gets extra possesions.

Battier or Artest will come off, and be directly launched into 6th man contention.

Scola will start. (99% positive prediction)

....and who starts at PF!? Gone are the days of us starting and giving heavy minutes to undersized (Hayes) and underskilled (J. Howard) PF's. And if you're thinking of Artest playing at PF, forget it.

I can see artest coming off the bench to be our 6th man. We don't really need his defense in the starting lineup. His offensive game is best suited as a 6th man where he will have a lot more opportunities to score without taking shots away from Tmac and Yao. I see Adelman going with last years starting lineup, like he went with JVGs starters last season, and possibly starting Artest later on if our offense isn't acceptable.

Hell no, Yao and Scola are great together.

We just gotta re-sign Landry and our PF backup will be fine. Scola's too good to be a bench player and with all those great pf in this leauge we just have to play Scola as a starter.

Doesn't really matter to me. I just hope Landry comes back. And I think our point guard situation is pretty weak. Hopefully Francis, Brooks, or Head can step it up.

Artest or Battier will come off the bench.
We just need to sign Dorsey and Landry and we are ready.

Then when the season starts we will see what Brooks and Francis has , and if Dorsey can give good minutes and backup center and go from there.

Come crunch time, I can see a Tmac, Yao, Artest on the floor though. Nasty.

i would be very surprised if artest isn't the guy that will come off the bench. adelman is smart and he knows that artest won't be happy without getting some individual freedom on offense. i doubt there are enough touches for him while playing with t-mac and yao. artest is the ideal 6th man because he can bring instant scoring and a change in intensity into the game. at the same time we can build on the great chemistry our starters had last year.

scola is a sure starter but he'll play lots of time together with artest since he's our main backup center and the ideal center for a small ball line-up with artest, mcgrady and even battier on the floor.

Guys... Ron will come off the bench. We need a good bench player. Battier doesn't seem good enough to do that nor carry his team.

Seriously this will be our starting unit if Ron is starting:

    Rafer Alston
    Tracy McGrady
    Ron Artest
    Luis Scola
    Yao Ming

    Back-up Unit:

    Aaron Brooks
    Luther Head
    Shane Battier
    Chuck/Landry/Dorsey
    Landry/Dorsey/Deke

    Reserve:
    Mike Harris
Steve Francis (If he isn't healthy)

Artest himself stated he would do absolutely anything to the team's success. That includes coming off the bench.

Scola isnt built to be a center; his defense really could be better. Dorsey on the other hand..

Rafer will play off the bench because Tmac will take his job. And the three ,scola battier and ron are all able to appear in our line-up squad.

    T-MAC is conTemporary MAgiC.

are you kidding me?? just because you are Argentinian doesn't mean you should come off the bench. The reason why Nocioni or Ginobli can come off the bench is because they can light it up and score in bunches. Scola doesn't have that type of impact on the offense. He is a hustle player and a lot of his points are from being scrappy. Our 22 win streak wasn't a fluke last year. It started when he was inserted into the starting 5.

You would make a better comparison if you said Tmac or Ron instead of Scola.
